Hey Karen!

I don't really know what you have and haven't seen in WSC--there are Lots of neat things about it that have sorta gotten lost in the shuffle, I think....there used to be a great guided tour that talked about all the architecture and what each structure represented etc.--it's worthwhile if you really like Showcase.

If you enjoy this sort of thing, a number of the pavilions have "Galleries"--Museums, really--with some pretty cool stuff.  Doesn't compete with a thrill ride, unfortunately, so they're often overlooked.  However, most of them feature priceless artifacts etc. from their representative countries....for example, in the entry to the Mexican Pavilion, the Stave Church in Norway, adjacent to the Circlevision 360 movie in China, across from the Rear entrance to the Mitsokoshi Dept. Store in Japan...those are all I can think of right now.

Another cool thing, I always thought, was to wander back into the pavilions.  Many have areas where you can REALLY forget where you are....little gardens, etc. a nice place to enjoy a drink or a rest for a few minutes...

Now, if you're wilder, one of the more popular activities for younger CM's was (maybe is) "Drinking around the World". Basically, it's pretty self explanatory--Margaritas in Mexico, Ringes Beer in Norway, Plum wine in China, and so on....those who were still standing by Canada were usually fairly inebriated. :barf:

As a CM, I made it a point to see as much of the rest of WSC as I could...a buddy of mine and I did everything we could to climb every tower, get to every rooftop, etc. that we could....I think we did most all of them.

Hope this helps.  Further questions, ask away.  I probably know more about WSC that I do any other spot on the Property--spending 7+ years there will do that....

Scott

Thanks Scott!

I had heard about that audio tour but completely forgot about it. Thanks for reminding me.

Thanks for posting this topic Scott! I'm just trying to think off the bat of what sorts of questions I could ask. Now I know I've got a question here somewhere...  :blush2: LOL

FYI the China 360 movie is NEW! :D

It is a great combonation of the new footage shot last fall and the old movie that has been around since 1981 :)

Comes highly recommended ! :)

Hi Scott!

Don't know if you are still taking questions--I just noticed that you and I were working for the Mouse at the same time (I was WDWCP 1990, CT in 1991, FT from 1992 - 1997).  Pretty cool!

I loved going to EPCOT, but never had the pleasure of working there.

So, my question is this--what was your favorite restaurant at WS?  Or what restaurant would you say is the best?  If there is more than one, that's ok.

Great question!

I like it so much, please answer in the new Mouseke-Poll about that (and then also reply in that area).
