I have to agree with Scott.  Don't rule it out.  I know that you want the WDW gig to be near your boyfriend, but this would be a great way to get some chops in as well, and get into the system and belong to the union.  That is pretty powerful stuff.  It would be for only 6 months, which may seem like a lifetime, but is sooooo short.  Now, on the bright side, it would be dynamite experience for you to audition for it.  When you are offered the job (not if, when), you can alway turn it down, but you will have an idea of what they are looking for during the audition process and you will be less nervous going in again!  Just believe!  :pixiedust:

Well, I went to the audition and did my thing!  When I got down there I found out it was in fact for Tokyo only :glare: I thought well im here so I mine-as-well do it, so I did.  It was a good experience and I defintaly dont regret it.  In all (singers and dancers) there were about 400 people and from what I understand they needed 3 female dancers, 3 male dancers, and a soloist!  :o It became aparent that I wasnt going to get a part with those stats!  On top of it all a lot of the people auditioning already worked at Disney and were trying to go to Tokyo...so they were already pros!!!  I did well and didnt mess up or anything but they wanted the best of the best of the best and thats not me... YET!!!   but im workin on it.  I got word from a really nice girl that i met there that disney does a lot of its Orlando hiring in January so I just might hafty mosey on down there for that :cowboy: Just thought i'd share my experience thanx for listnen!

Yoo Hoo, Chrissy!

I'm glad you went throught with it and gave it your best shot.
:clapping:

And think of this: I bet many if not all of the people who were in charge of the auditioning process there that day will also be involved in the next one you try out for... The fact that you were there and did well will probably be remembered, giving you "a leg up" the next time!

Definitely keep trying.  From my own experience with Disney auditions, there is seemingly no rhyme or reason other than they are looking for certain "types" and you never really know what that "type" is going to be.

For example--when I auditioned for characters, I was absolutely horrible in the dancing part, but because I was tall and that's what they needed, I got in.  (I did do ok with the animating part of the audition though, I think...)

I went to Streetmosphere auditions for three years in a row and never got it.  I had improv experience and thought I did pretty well, but I never made it in. :(
My friend, on the other hand, who had no improv experience, made it on his first try!    :Oo:

Also, they do (or used to anyway) auditions all over the country so you may not even need to go to Orlando.  I also used to have the number for an audition hotline you could call to find out when and where auditions would be.  (sorry, don't have it any more).

Anyway--good luck with whatever you decide to do! :)
