There's always a funny moment somewhere at Disney, it's just part of the magic :sorcerer:  :pixiedust: Some non-cast member stories are the best ones! :mickey:

I am not a CM (but wish I was!;) and have enjoyed reading this thread.  One memory that stands out in my mind, was a few years ago, when they were selling the "Walk around the World" bricks.  DH and I decided to buy one if it could be at the Poly (which they did :minnie: )  As we were approaching the tent where the CM were "selling" the bricks, we saw a family of 4, with the "kids" in their late teens.  The husband looked very angry and there were 2 CMs talking to him and then leading him and his loved ones back to the MK entrance.  Being a nosey sort  :depp:  I asked the remaining CM what was going on.  It seems the upset man claimed to have purchased a brick during a prior visit and could not find it.  He stated that his family's whole vacation was "ruined" by this fact!  Now, the CM had gone through there computer listings and there was never a brick bought by this man on record, nor did the man have his "proof a purchase" mock up with him.  The CMs had offered to have a "new" brick made for him, even though it was obvious that he hadn't purchased one before, but that didn't appease him!!  He kept screaming that his vacation was ruined!  So, higher authorities were called (the 2 CMs we saw initially with the family) to deal with the situation.

Wow!  Good story huh?  But it gets better!!   :depp:

We were filling out the forms for our brick, when another CM came down to the tent.  Seems the angry family were demanding to have a free 7 night vacation to replace this one that was "ruined", and ......are you ready for this.......were on their current 7 night GF vacation, with all the bells a whistles included, on the house (free) because something happened to "ruin" their prior vacation in WDW!!!!!  I just wish I knew what happened when that was discovered!!  Ah, to have been a fly on the wall!!

I enjoyed that story, and it kind of reminded me of another one that I read in the paper a few years back.  There was this lady (I think it was a lady) who claimed she got hurt by one of the bricks from the castle.  She sued Disney, and they let her take it to court.  The reason for that is because the castle really isn't made out of block where she said she got hurt, it is made out of fiberglass.  They let her waste her money on court costs, attorney fees, etc. because she was trying to pull off a scam.  If anyone still has that article, it would be a good article to share with this board.  Have a great day everyone!!!

Hey guys, sorry I have been out of the loop but it is a loong story. However, to add to this thread, this labor day weekend I donned my suntan lotion and sunglasses  and cruised over to the Magic Kingdom for the weekend. And Labor day weekend at the M.K. brings out lots of funny stories! So here goes:
First of all, a word of warning. Should you wear your Disney Fantasears nametag, people will assume you know everything about the magic kingdom - and they will ask! Such as:
Does this monorail run to EPCOT?
Can you tell me where the nearest restroom is?
When does Mickey Phil. open?
and the kicker was when this wonderful lady who had to be no less than 8 1/2 months pregnant asked me if I thought it would be okay for her to ride the Astro Orbiter. I am afraid I had to tell her to ask a cast member, because I was too busy trying to figure out what she was doing at WDW on a hot summer day in the first place. Of course this was Labor day weekend! (thank you, thank you)
I knew I would see lots of people renting strollers for older kids, that is normal for Disney, however this time around I know I saw at least 5 pre-teen children in the double ones, along with a couple kids using wheelchairs for transportation. And people wonder why they have to have so many!
Spotted: Elderly lady plowing over curb, people, and nearly running into merch. stand with her rented Electric Cart. Just kept right on going, get out of the way!! :o
New World Record: Gentleman racing stroller up the handicapped ramp in Frontierland for the train station before a cast member could catch up with him to tell him to stop and carry it up the steps. Guess he thought there wasn't going to be any more trains! :coonskin:
Poor Dwarf: Dwarf in Spectromagic parade reached down to shake my three - year old's hand and promptly got his nose grabbed  and pulled. What a story he had to tell Snow White.
And finally,
Flown away: all the money I had set aside for one day at the parks :dollar: By the time I got settled in the car and figured out the bill for the day: :hurt: oh, my aching head........... :mickey:

I have a story, but it is nothing like the other ones that have been told here.

While my husband and I were on our honeymoon at Disney, I had on the Minnie Mouse bride headband (got it at Disney Land before we went to Disney world :) )  Anyway, he couldn't wear the top hat because his head was too big.  Well, by the end of the honeymoon my husband wrote on a plain white shirt, "One Size Does not fit all" so that people would stop bugging him about not wearing the hat.

irishone1979 - If it makes you feel better. We just got back from our honeymoon in Disney (Sept. 15 - 20) and my husband's hat didn't fit either. He instead used a Mickey flag baseball cap.  :D Some of the cast members picked on him too. But when we went to Fantasmic! the CM that picked on him (along with the Yankees shirt) moved us into the reserved area!! We had an awesome view of the show!!! I'll have to mention what your husband did, my husband will get a kick out of it!  :clapping:
