Ultimate Disney Dream

What would your Disney fantasy be?

If you could have any Disney experience you could dream up, what would it be and what would you trash for good about any previous Disney event or vacation you took part in? Are there any Disney vacation spots you'd love to go to right now if you could, like one of the theme parks anywhere in the world or perhaps to take a relaxing voyage on the Disney Cruise Line? Or maybe you're dreaming of an ultimate Disney shopping experience?

Registered Disney EchoEars (and not Guests) may vote once in this poll. After voting you will be shown the current vote totals. Note: If you click the button that says...

---------------------CODE SAMPLE-------------------
'View Results (Null Vote)'
---------------------CODE SAMPLE-------------------

...to view the totals before voting, you will not be able to vote later (because seeing the current voting patterns would have an influence on the outcome of the poll). You may only vote once.

Once again, here are the choices in the poll:
  • I'd love to be vacationing in a Disney theme park right now! :hearts:
  • I sure wish I could take a relaxing voyage on the Disney Cruise Line's Disney Magic or Disney Wonder... or both!
  • Pressler had the right idea... I love to shop at Disney and I'm dreaming of an ultimate Disney shopping experience! :sleepy:
  • I want a VIP tour of the parks like the celebrities get! That's what I'd love!!
  • My ultimate Disney dream would be to have a culinary feast at the best Disney restaurant in the world. :9
  • What I'd really like is to be able to live in any of the Disney Resorts or theme parks year-round! :wow:
  • I want to work for Disney!!! Really, I'll do anything!!
  • Those all sure sound great, but really you have no idea about what my ultimate Disney fantasy is... So I'll select this choice and write about it below. :eyebrow:

Tell us what kind of Disney fantasy you have! Please reply here after voting in the poll above.

:mickey: A good question which had many answers. I was surprised to see that I am first ......but that never stopped me before, so.....

Why did I select "Live at a park"???

Well, I've already had the pleasure to work for Disney (that doesn't mean I wouldn't mind doing it again, mind you).

and I really love visiting the parks.

I've yet to take a cruise (but they don't really thrill me yet)

but I've always wanted the ability to live right there. The idea of waking up and looking out your window and seeing Disney as part of your world would be.....fantastic! Now the only question is....who are all these other people here?

I still remember that day as I was going over to the canoe races early one morning. I stopped and stood on the drawbridge and looked down Main Street.......no one in sight and all the sounds and smells of DL. To paraphrase Field of Drieams...."Is this heaven?" "No, it's Disneyland!" (seemed like heaven to me!;)

I decided to let a lucky EchoEar be the first to get the honor of voting and replying, so I held off my vote and opinion for ya!

I also selected live at a park! I've kinda had VIP tours already, being a special guest at Disneyana Conventions with special parties in the parks, getting to eat breakfast in Club 33 at Disneyland, entering the park while the overnight cleaning crew was still hard at work as well as touring Walt's apartment above the DL firehouse, so I've already kind of had a taste of that. And it was sweet, make no mistake about it! I've also been to what was kind of the opposite of an E-Ticket Night: an arrive before dawn Disneyand Convention breakfast party in WDW's Fantasyland in which our small group had that park to ourselves.

And while the other choices are absolutely something I'd like to do, this is all about choosing what each EchoEar feels is the ultimate for him or her. So as it turns out, my opinion matches yours in that I'd love to be able to live in any Disney park year-round. And in a way, that would make one a VIP, wouldn't it?

---------------------QUOTE-------------------
Now the only question is....who are all these other people here?

---------------------QUOTE-------------------

Yeah, the neighbors get rather noisy sometimes, don't they? :laughbig:

My son has already told me he'd like to live at Disney World, so I know it is an inheritible trait... must be in the genes. ;) He thinks school there would be great, too. :)

By the way, when I wrote the choices I didn't mean that one would be limited to one Disney park or resort for one year... And by year-round I didn't mean only one year, either, but for as long as you wanted. Hey, if you're gonna dream, why not dream big! :wwww:

 So, as much as I like the idea of living right there, I thought maybe I'd list a semi-realistic fantasy instead.  Someday, I hope to have APs, with enough money & vacation time to create this "ultimate fantasy" trip.

2 weeks in Orlando doing WDW thoroughly without commando raids, followed by a 7-day cruise.  For a truly ultimate fantasy, we would have our world tour of Disney parks first:  fly to CA for Disneyland, fly to Asia for Hong Kong Disneyland followed by Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea, fly to France for Disneyland Paris, then off to Orlando for 2 weeks.  Finally, we relax from all this with our 7-day cruise.  Now THAT would be heaven!   :mickey:

I want to work as a voice actor/actor for Disney. I love the movies and I personally think that doing a voice for one of the characters would be awesome! And failing that I'd settle for dancing and performing in the parks. ^_^
Posted by: DisneyAnne on Feb. 22, 2003 10:35 am/pm

Funny... I think my fantasy would be a combination of several, but I chose the one I would want the most... :D

I would love to live in the resorts all of the time, but it is my ultimate goat to work there.  If I worked there, I bet I would be able to take a VIP tour and might get a deal on the Disney Cruise... :eyebrow:

I am living a personal nightmare these days...whenever I needed a Disney fix, I would wander to our local mall and hit up the DS.  Unfortunately, DS closed shop last month...absolutely no warning   :o

I guess I'll be heading down I-95 more often now!

Posted by: DisneyAnne on Feb. 22, 2003 10:37 am/pm

Okay... it is not my personal GOAT to work there...HA!
Posted by: RichKoster on Feb. 23, 2003 2:21 am/pm

Now just what am I supposed to do with this personal goat I got you???

I would love to do all of them!! I would like a VIP tour to find out all of the "special" things going on!! I would love for my DDs, when they get older, to get a  great job at Disney and buy my DH and myself a place inside Disney!! I would also maybe like to get a job there when we retire!!

I have always said that if I ever won the lottery (too bad I don't buy tickets though) the first thing I would do is buy a house in DisneyWorld.  Now I say in Celebration, Florida.  to live that close to the magic and be able to visit anytime would be the ultimate fantasy.  My DS and I are going in June and I think I am more excited than he is! :mickey:
Posted by: bbn11 on May 12, 2003 1:28 am/pm

My Disney Dream would be...money's no object
Stay for three weeks in 3 or 4 Deluxe hotels...in a two bedroom suite w/conceirge services....
Go on all the special tours....
Spa treatments...
Shopping...
A couple evenings a week just me and my hubby...
and no rushing...just relax...
linger at breakfast ...
swim in pools...
And perfect weather 80 degrees and sunny...no humidity if thats possible....
Oh and no waiting in any lines.....!!! :tounge:

My ultimate dream would be to have enough money to take my closest friends and their families to Disney with me and stay in a deluxe resort.  When they checked-in, I would have gift baskets waiting for them with boxes of pixie dust for their kids.  While there, I would treat them to an Illuminations Cruise, have dinner at the California Grill, have a desserts party in World Showcase, etc.  During the day, the Moms could sip on pina coladas on the Polyn beach while the Dads play golf.  And being with a group of people means that we could do something fun like splitting into teams and doing a scavenger hunt around the Resort.

The possibilities go on and on.  Too bad my checkbook doesn't!

Yoo Hoo, webchyck!

Oh, cool! You'd be the right person to ask, then. We have a page over here in Mickey's Switchboard on the Disney Echo that lists Disney contests. If you know of any others currently going on, please reply to that message if you don't mind sharing with us.
:)

Welcome to the Disney Echo, webchyck! Here's a Minnie Mouse-eared pair of Disney EchoEars for you - just a token of my appreciation for you joining the fun on the Disney Echo:

Great Poll. But my ultimate Disney trip wasn't listed. So here it goes. This is what I would do if money and was no object.

It would Start in Disneyland Paris for 3 or 4 days, Then off to Disneyland Tokyo and Disney Seas for a week. Then A 2 week rest in Hawaii mostly because I'd be heading that way anyhow. Disneyland and Californa Adventure would be next for a week(That way I could see a little of California as well as Disney.) Then Off the Walt Disney World to play in the Parks for 3 weeks and to top it off would be a 7 day Cruise on the Magic. :)

Now thats what i call Ultimate.

Posted by: Guest on June 12, 2003 8:15 am/pm

I have recently started my Disney Dreaming.  I have decided my ultimate dream is to visit all of the Disney parks worldwide and the Disney Cruise ships.  I figure as long as I'm dreaming, I might as well go all out!

I would LOVE to work at WDW...preferibly a resort, maybe AKL!
Posted by: Mickey'sPal on June 27, 2003 12:40 am/pm

OK, living there would be great but then what would I spend all of my time and energy planning for  ?  I think that planning a trip and the anticipation (although it kills me at times!;) is half the fun.  I would however love to plan a stay at each and every resort! Maybe a week at each and of course then I'd get to eat at many more of the great restaurants!  Oh and no behind the scenes for me-I want the magic to last forever  :minnie: !
Posted by: ladymarganne on July 07, 2003 3:27 am/pm

I'm kinda surprised you didn't add this one...
Live in Walt's apartment in the castle! Now THAT'S the way to go!
That would be my dream, adding that I'd have the parks all to myself, family, and friends on my birthday every year, New Year's Day (most people are sleeping that day anyway) one day a month, plus the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter! Then I'd spend one week a month at a different resort..."just to get away"! LOL! Wellll....it is a "dream", isn't it? :flag:

Posted by: RichKoster on July 07, 2003 3:52 am/pm

First they'd have to create Walt's apartment in the castle! It was never built, and not for Roy either (who lived long enough to open WDW).

But sure, that would be a great thing to add, to be able to live inside Cinderella Castle! Just think, you could call Security anytime you wanted and complain about the noisy neighbors in the restaurant downstairs.

My dream would be to work there.  Acually it has been my dream for as long as I can remember..My husband always teases me that when I do get a job there that I would end up being the one walking behind the horses with the scoop!   :glare:
Well, I wouldn't mind, somebody has to do it!
So, yeah, I guess that I would do anything.

YES!
:)

Posted by: Goofyteer on July 11, 2003 10:08 am/pm

Ok let me try. First of all I would contact WDW on a special new deal they would have available. It would be having a character accompany you through your whole Disney vacation!

So when I arrived for my first two weeks of my vacation at WDW Goofy would be there to greet me. He would rush over to me and give me a big hug and we'd spend all those two weeks together on the rides. I wouldn't worry about buying character meals since Goofy was with me and he's character enough! He'd take my hand and we'd run to all the rides as we'd go through each park and have special tickets to give us instant entry to each one. We'd go spinning real fast on the teacups. We'd get soaked on splash mountain. We'd play forever in the swiss robinson treehouse! And we'd sing along on the potc ride. We'd have a blast on Buzz Lightyear and Star tours and sing along on It's a small world. We'd hold on to each other for dear life on space mountain and yeah we would both refuse to go on Alien encounter again! We'd do spaceship earth and Living seas and on and on and on. And we'd eat our food at different rastaurants each time at World showcase.

And then we'd spend each evening enjoying all the parades and shows one night at a time. We'd see the Main Street electrical and Fantasmic and Illuminations! And each night after all the crowds are gone Goofy would walk me back to my room at the Polynesian. Before sleeping we'd sit on the bed and we'd share some favorite books and stories and enjoy our stuff we bought at Downtown Disney. And he'd wish me goodnight and turn out the light for me before leaving.

And each morning when Mickey called to wake me up Goofy would knock on my door to start another day all over again. Then after WDW it's time for the ten day Disney cruise!

Goofy would go with me all the way to the ship and once we're on he'd vanish just a moment to change into his ship uniform. And we'd play all day and night on the ship and enjoy Disney Dreams and get to eat at Animator's Palette any time we want! And we'd have a blast at Castaway Cay.

And then when the ship came back to Florida I would decide to take one last ride. Goofy and I would agree it should be Peter Pan's Flight. We'd show up late at night just as the park is starting to close and we'd board the ship and take off on the ride. And then while we're flying over the ride's London, the real Peter Pan whould suddenly appear to sprinkle us with pixie dust! And led by Pan we would suddenly find our ship soaring out of the ride and over WDW and high up into the clouds until the world is far below just as it looked to Pan and the kids in the movie, and we'd be off on our way to Neverland. And we'd stay they forever and ever.

That's what I would want more than anything else in the world. :blush2:

:pixiedust:  Oh, to live in Disney  :pixiedust:  What I wouldn't give!!!  I would work there if they needed me too as well (offsetting the cost of my room :D ).  But, as I figure it, the money we have dropped there over the years, we have paid for Michael Eisner's bathroom fixtures, at least, and so they could let us live there gratus!
Posted by: SwampKat on Aug. 06, 2003 6:38 am/pm

To live at WDW.....what a fantasy. I've already got my spot picked out, right under the bleachers between the elephant and Simba in the Lion King Show. Yup, that's where I'd be. Think if I lived there for awhile I might be able to make it through the opening number with out misting up? Probably not.
Posted by: WhatsaPooh on Aug. 09, 2003 7:47 am/pm

:pixiedust: My dream would be able to visit for at least 2-3 weeks each year, eventually staying at all the resorts.  Dh is content with going every 3 to 5 yrs, so I may have to leave him home LOL

I wouldn't want to live in Florida as I can't stand the heat/humidity and I'd miss the changing seasons too much. We also visit family in Maine once a year, and where we live now is midway between both points- we drive everywhere!

 Maybe I can get Dh to visit the DVC booth when we are there this fall?  Send pixie dust my way!!!

To win Powerball, one of the big jackpots of it.  Then Rich wouldn't have to work, we'd have time off together and part of the time off could be spent visiting Disney theme parks with no worries as to the cost (though if we saw certain prices and costs it'd still be legit to exclaim "They want HOW MUCH for THAT!?!?!") or amount of time spent.  Basically it takes the pressure off a Disney theme park visit so one could simply relax there.

I would love to work at Disney World.  I have worked at the Disney store and wish they paid more so I could stay there, but all my money stayed there....
I have dreamed of working as one of the princesses or one of the singers at Disney ever since I was little so that would be my ultimate dream  :clapping:

:cheesy: I'm green with envy of all the people who get to go regularly to DW.  My dream is to be able to go any time I want and stay at any resort I want for at least 10 days at a time.  We've been 4 times now, but it just doesn't seem like my cravings are satisfied.  We've priced out the 7 day cruise, but it's just too steep right now.  We did the land/sea pkg in 2000, but I wish the rates would come down like other cruise lines so we could go again.  Castaway Cay was a beach paradise.  We've only been home 3 days and I'm so sick with the Disney Blues!
Posted by: DanMedix on Oct. 20, 2003 2:36 am/pm

I would love to live there, and I know that my daughter would love it, too.  I'd live in the AKL or the GF, although I've never been able to afford to stay in either one yet.   :(

I've even researched transferring to a Fire Dept or EMS System in Central FL, homes in Celebration/Kissimmee/etc, and options to relocate down there.  But, uprooting my wife from here would be next to impossible!  But, that's ok.  That's why they call it dreaming, right?

I've seen the RCFR website, and always tried to gat a closer look whenever the bus from our resort passed by that one station that's on the way to the parks.  I did manage to see one of their units (ambulances) outside DD, but didn't see anyone.  Otherwise, I'd have talked to them.  It would be an absolute DREAM to work for them!
Posted by: julie on Nov. 30, 2003 6:00 am/pm

:space: i guess my fantasy would be more realistic too. although i was tempted to select the option of living at a resort, i realize that part of what make that experience magical is that it's different from everyday life. so instead i'd select a 2-3 week vacation once or twice a year (or maybe less! ) during which i stay at a fabulous resort like the polynesian and relax and enjoy the little things. i would use my annual pass to ride my favorite rides over and over again, browse on main street at the mk, visit the wps, and i would also resort hop and eat at all the best restaurants!
end
