+---Topic: "Curbside" service at the Volcano pool started by marykatesmom

Last year we stayed at BC and the waitstaff at SAB saved the day.  My 3yr old was in a melt down and had collapsed in a nap on my lap at SAB.  My 5 yr old, wouldn't budge from the pool and I was by myself now trapped under 40lbs of toddler and it was right when I was supposed to be getting lunch.

Hungry, thirsty, hot and tired I sat there until someone came over with a tray and said "Can I get you anything?"   There was "curbside" waitstaff at the Pool!!  He went to get us lunch and nothing else tasted so good all week.  I didn't have to dislodge the 3 yr old and the 5 yr old at least came out to have some fries.

Does the Volcano Pool have a similiar waitstaff at the pool?

Should I depend on it for lunch one of our days?

I have not been in the pool around lunch time but I have not ever seen any one serving foor or drinks around the pool in the afternoon.

Aloha

Yoo Hoo, Beth / marykatesmom!

I also didn't see any wait staff taking orders of people around the volcano pool, but there is a poolside bar very close by to the pool called the Barefoot Pool Bar, where they have both adult beverages and non-alcoholic beverages. When I was there just last month and they have a limited menu (snack type stuff, not meals) at that bar, too. Or Captain Cook's is very near the pool and an easy walk to get take-out for a complete lunch. You are certainly allowed to eat at the tables (or even just at a chaise lounge if you wish) alongside the volcano pool, but I don't think they have a strolling wait staff.
:hungry:

And welcome to the Disney Echo, Beth! Here's a Polynesian Resort-inspired pair of Disney EchoEars complete with lei for you as my thanks for joining the fun here:

There is no poolside service at the Poly pool. The only food at the poolbar are chips and pretzels but no real food.  I would love it if they did but Captain Cooks isn't too bad of a hike.  Unless you have a sleeping 40 lbs toddler on your lap!  The GF does have poolside service though. :hula:

Sorry for the double post again.  Every time I post the website is so slow and tells me there is a website error.  I retry and it finally goes through but ends up twice.  Can I not delete the second post or don't we get that option? :santa:

Only the modEARators get the option to delete a post. I generally see double posts and delete one -- but you beat me to it and changed the second post by editing it with your question.

You can MickEmail me in the future if you want to make sure I'll see it and delete it, but given enough time I'll find it and delete it even without getting word about it.

This problem should be fixed very soon -- the upgrade to the newer version of the forum software and change-over to a better database system is progressing very well.
