YC concierge is my favorite! I will be staying there for my 5th time in July, just 38 days away!!!
The lounge is beautiful, just redone less than a year ago. Very elegant and tasteful, with reds and blues, and a very elegant nautical theme. There are several small tables set up, I've never had a problem getting a table for breakfast, or during the evening.
The lounge is open from 7am - 10pm 7am - 10:30am: continental breakfast offering cereal, oatmeal, fruit - melon, cantelope, bananas, donuts, bagels, toast (4 kinds), english muffins, danish, coffee cake (varies day to day) coffee, tea, milk (skim and whole), juice.
11:00 - 3:00pm : afternoon snacks chips n' salsa, pretzels, goldfish, popcorn (white cheddar), apples, cookies (choc chip, oatmeal raisin) gummy worms, peanut mix... coffee, tea, soda, water, lemonade
3:00 - 4:30, afternoon tea includes everything listed under afternoon snacks, plus a featured cake (varies by day... examples: choc cake, white cake w/coconut frosting, flan, strawberry shortcake...)
5:00 - 7:00pm: evening hor'deuvres 4 - 5 appetizers (vary, ex: chicken strips, scallops w/bacon, mini corndogs, quesidillas, coconut chicken, veggie wraps, hummus w/dip, quiche lorraine,...) cheese & crackers, vegetable crudite, peanut butter n' Jelly (uncrustables), pudding cups, cookies.... Wine (white, blush and red) soda, lemonade, coffee, tea, water...
8:00 - 10:00pm: late evening desserts! a Featured cake each evening, either choc cake, coconut cake, flan, cheesecake...etc...plus 5 - 7 assorted mini pastries (creme puffs, napoleans, eclairs, fruit cake..etc..) cupcakes, brownies, cookies.... Cordials, usually about 4 - 5 varieties (baileys, amaretto, gand marnier...etc) coffee, tea, water, soda...
The concierge staff at the Yacht and Beach club work together, the lounges vary by decor, but are set up the same and food offerings at both resorts is the same. YC - nautical elegant, with red, blue and gold hues BC - softer, more casual elegant Both have brand new furnishings.
When they re-did the lounges, they got rid of the large TV armoirs, there is now a small T.V set up in designated childrens area of the lounges, with small child size chairs around it. - they did this to give the lounges a more formal atmosphere, rather than the TV being the focal point.
The staff, as I begun to say... is made up of some of the finest people I have ever met! Staying at the Yacht or Beach concierge is a real treat! Luxury and pampering, unparalled at WDW!
Did I answer your question Tikiman...:) or do you have more? this is my favorite topic, so keep the questions coming!!!
