Curtains open or closed at night at Disney Resort?

Leave 'em open for the view or shut 'em?

When you are staying at a Disney resort hotel, do you sleep with the curtains closed or have them open to enjoy the view? You've probably paid a lot more to stay onsite, so do you leave the curtains open because you want to be able to enjoy the view even when you're drifting off to sleep? Or do you close the curtains because you think someone might look in and that kinda creeps you out?

Registered Disney EchoEars (and not Guests) may vote once in this poll. After voting you will be shown the current vote totals. Note: If you click the button that says...

...to view the totals before voting, you will not be able to vote later (because seeing the current voting patterns would have an influence on the outcome of the poll). You may only vote once.

Once again, here are the choices in the poll:
  • I leave the curtains open while I sleep to enjoy the Disney night magic!
  • No way! My curtains are closed!!  But I might peak out through them from time to time.

Tell us what you think! Please reply here after voting in the poll above.

Hmmm.  Normally we sleep with the curtains closed.  Our son wakes up the split second one fleck of daylight hits the night sky

However, we've never had the view we'll have this time.

I think it would depend on where I was staying and what the view was .  I mean of course not if you were at the all stars or somewhere where people could walk right in front of your window but at the Polynesian maybe once everybody was in bed and the lights were off then I would open them.

:sleepy:
Last summer when we were at the Polynesian, we kept the curtains open at night.

That way I could sit up and look at the castle whenever I wanted :).  Plus, I could see the Contemporary while lying down watching tv!

I'm not sure what we'll do this year.  It depends on the view we get at BWV and AKL!

:sleepy:  I keep them closed, because if I kept them open, I wouldn't sleep a wink for fear I would miss something!  :o

When staying at a value resort( all-star ), we keep the curtains closed :) , but at the Polynesian, with MK view, the curtains stay open
