I agree with Rich that if you haven't checked out Steve's < Tikiman's Polynesian Resort Page >, do it now! It's a wonderful website. For those of you who only know of Disney's Polynesian Resort as that monorail station in between the Grand Floridian and the Transportation and Ticket Center, aloha!
