I called again and at first the CM said just no masks. I explained what I had read on the web about adults not being allowed to wear Disney costumes, the CM put me on hold.

When the CM returned, she said adults are NOT allowed to wear Disney costumes as they might be mistaken by other guests to be actual CM's.

I explained that no where on my ticket info and the guidelins included with the tickets does it say that adults are not allowed to wear Disney costumes. I explained that I had been working on our costumes for months and have spent money on them. She said that I could get my money back on the MNSSHP tickets if I wanted.

I suggested that the need to put this "guidline" about no Adults in Disney costumes on the list with the other guidelines!

Oh, well... there goes my plan to be Captain Jack Sparrow for a night.
:depp: <-X

Thanks for filling us in about this! They must have changed their mind about the rules very recently, because it wasn't all that long ago that nothing like that was mentioned from Disney (as you saw in my post above).

Well, darn it......there goes my idea of my family all dressing as characters from sleeping beauty.  Thanks for all the info...and to Rich for moving my post.  I tried to find this thread, but must have over looked it.   :uhoh:

But now I have talked to another person who spoke with a CM about Disney costumes.  That CM said it was fine as long as no masks.

Any suggstions on how to clarify this?  We all seem to be getting different answers.

I have seen pictures of people in Disney costumes at past MNSSHP.

I will be upset if I follow the rules, get to MNSSHP and see other adults in Disney costumes.

This sounds like a job for the Polynesian concierge staff!
:hula:  :eyebrow:

Anybody staying concierge at the Poly for MNSSHP who wouldn't mind asking about this?

This doesn't answer the question at hand, but it is more information about MNSSHP that I found from Disney:

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Expands to 10 Family-Friendly Nights of Magic Kingdom Fun

Each October, Magic Kingdom plays host to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, an after-hours celebration of family-friendly frights filled with special spooky entertainment and trick-or-treating for guests of all ages.

Each date includes themed trick-or-treat locations throughout the park, unique entertainment including fireworks and a Halloween-themed parade, a complimentary family photo, unlimited use of popular Magic Kingdom attractions, plus much more!

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party takes place from 7 p.m. to midnight and requires separate park admission. Advance tickets are $29.95 plus tax for ages 10 and up, $24.95 plus tax for ages 3-9. We were originally going to be leaving WDW on Sunday so we were going to MNSSHP on Friday, Oct. 3.  I had to adjust my trip by a day and now we are leaving on Monday the 6th, so I opted for MNSSHP on the 5th, as I figured a Sunday would be less crowded than a Friday night.  Anyway, I like Rich's idea of eating at Liberty Tree Tavern, but have a question for anyone who has previously been.  Forgive me if this has already been asked/answered before!

If we make our PS's for around 5:30 and then are already in the park by the time the party starts, will we miss anything special by not coming through the front gates at the start of the party?  I know we can get wrist bands when we go in for our PS and don't have to worry about that, but I'm concerned my son will miss out on some trick or treating or special characters or whatever may be there.

Any info anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
