Yoo Hoo, B.B.!

I love your show and wanted to let you know that your mix of music & fun is the greatest! I wish Radio Disney all day long would sound more like what you do on Playhouse Disney.  Keep up the good work!

From one Trout Fishing in America fan to another (even saw them perform live at the New Orleans Jazz Fest three times!;), as well as Disney fan, this is...

Hello Rich,

I am so sorry that it has taken me so long to respond to your e-mail. Thank you so much for your compliments! I enjoy and love doing Playhouse Disney for the kids.

That is so great that you were able to see Trout Fishing in America at the Jazz Fest! I would have loved to have gone! They are really great!

Thanks again for writing!

your pal,
B.B. Good :-)

By the way, Disney EchoEars, you can see B.B. live and in person at the Disney-MGM Studios while she's live on Radio Disney. Take it from me, it's very cool!

Yoo Hoo, Disney EchoEars!

Got your ears on while you're at Walt Disney World, but you haven't found Radio Disney when you've been in Orlando?

Before now you were out of luck because there wasn't a Radio Disney affiliate nearby. But that's all changed!

Radio Disney is now airing on Orlando radio station WDYZ 990 AM, a 50,000-watt station that covers the city's metropolitan area.

Radio Disney provides a heavy sampling of teen-beat post-Mouseketeer music for the often-ignored 12-and-under and young-at-heart crowd. On one recent glance, six of the songs on Radio Disney's Top-30 chart were from Mouseketeers-turned-pop sensations -- and some of Radio Disney's programming arrives direct from the Disney-MGM Studios and Disneyland.

Yoo Hoo!

I used to listen to Radio Disney a lot, but now I tend to ignore it. I am frankly turned off by most of the "teen pop" stuff. I do like some of the girl acts like Mandy Moore, Dream, B*Witched etc. I used to like Britney and Christina but they've gotten too "hot" for my taste.

The RD segments from the parks are B.B. Good from MGM from Noon-4pm ET and Just Plain Mark and Zippy from DL from 4-8pm ET.

Yoo Hoo!

What I like best about Radio Disney is the music mix and Disney Character interaction during Playhouse Disney at mid-day when B.B. Good is hosting. I wish there was more of that at all parts of the day and night on Radio Disney. B.B. even plays music by Trout Fishing in America which is alright in my book! I think a lot of the bits on the Intergalactic Boom Box is funny and I like Just Plain Mark and Zippy, too.  And thankfully, it seems Radio Disney is not playing as much rap as before, and that's good IMHO.

A few stations have dropped Radio Disney because of poor ratings. Waco, Texas is the latest.  Ironically, the very first station in the country to start airing Radio Disney -- the station in Birmingham, Alabama which was the test market station for it -- also no longer airs Radio Disney and has reverted back to Christian music in order to get better ratings. I think if they made Radio Disney more Disney it would be better.

Yoo Hoo, Disney EchoEARS!

We're not all ears in Waco!

LATimes: 2 Satellite Broadcasters to Air Disney Radio Stations
The Waco Tribune reports the local Waco, TX radio station KWTX-AM (1230) no longer airs the Radio Disney programming since their contract was not renewed
because of disappointing ratings.

I worked for Radio Disney (RD) Miami as a member of the "Fun Squad"...a group of adults who helped with the implementation of promotional events in our community.  Unfortuately I had to give up my position when I moved :(

I did get to meet BB when she worked a couple of events during my two year tenure with RD-Miami and when I can (which is very rarely) I try to get into the park during the week to see her after her show..the way I described in my last post. :)

so thats why former RD CM is on my sig line :D
