I was wondering how far in advance do most of you book a cruise.  I am asking because I am a HUGE planner and like to have everything planned out way before I go on a vacation.  I just booked a Disney Cruise for October 2004 (am I crazy???)And I was just wondering what most of you do and how you plan your trip....

Financial advistor Clark Howard (who has a syndicated daily radio show on money matters) recommends either booking very early or at the last minute in order to get the best deals and discounts on cruises.

So, you're probably not crazy!

You're not crazy at all :mickey: My travel agent assures me to book as early as possible and that some book up to a year or more in advance all depending on if they can. And Disney themselves also told me the sooner the better.

I agree.  I booked our 7 day Land and Sea for this October last September!!  I waited to book the airfare to get the best rate and got a great deal on Travelocity in February of this year...I've checked every month and they've gone up and down slightly but no big deal!  Do it!!

Thanks for making me feel like I am not insane to book that early.  I did book the trip and can't wait to go, but there is a small thing that has to be done before we can go (order of my DH :) )  We have to have all our credit card bills paid off.  Which sounds really bad, but they aren't too high so I know we can do it in a year :)  I'm just glad he agreed to let me book it now.
