Yoo Hoo, Disney EchoEars!

Do you feel safe using your credit card on your next Disney resort vacation?

The Disneyland Paris Resort has a major credit card fraud scandal on its hands which came to light this week. A Disneyland Paris employee, who resigned in November, allegedly used credit card details of Disneyland Paris Resort Guests -- including sports celebrities, movie stars and even royalty -- to allegedly buy himself electronic equipment and other luxuries. Incredibly, he is alleged to have shamelessly  used the credit card details of Philippe Bourgignon, the former head of Disneyland Paris!

After searching the man's home, investigators described it as "an Ali Baba’s cave" crammed with high-end audio equipment and DVD players, some of which they said was intended for resale.

Investigators say Sallet’s victims never saw his face -- they had booked their vacation by telephone or internet.

Read the full story and then let us know how you feel about this, especially what you think about using credit cards for your next Disney vacation.

The investigators say this scam was going on for more than two years before being discovered.

Be sure to check all of your credit card bills carefully! I also recommend not using debit cards which take funds directly out of your checking account -- you have more protection when fighting wrong charges made to your credit card rather than your debit card.

Although Disney is not alone in having credit card fraud problems, I think this is horrible to alledgedly being committed by a Disney Cast Member.

And remember that this is the first-ever report of something like this happening in the Disney organization. We need to keep in mind that there are thousands and thousands of honest Disney Cast Members out there.

I have always felt safe using my cards to book trips or whatever.... but you're right, fraud can happen anywhere...it is sad to think this CM was doing to people, and hopefully he will be punished accordingly...

Can anyone say Travelor's Cheques? I have always found them to be a safe alternative. And I loved the Disney Credit card, because I knew that if it got stolen, the only place it could be used was on Disney Property, and it would be really easy to cancel it. The only tricky place was D.D. Westside, and a couple of places at P.I.
