Yoo Hoo, Disney EchoEars!

Check out this story in LA Weekly:

Keepers of the Magic Kingdom

Watch closely among Disneyland’s tourists and you might spot the Disneyana people, protecting Walt’s vision and living most of their waking lives in the happiest place on Earth

Quick quote:

Benji Breitbart doesn’t go to Disneyland every day.

“I wasn’t here last Thursday,” he says as we walk down Main Street. “I usually come six days a week.”

Something that bothers me is that one man's remark when he says he owns the park because he owns Disney stock.

Disney regulars are fine. Nothing wrong with that. The only thing that bothers me is how rude some of those Disney regulars can be. Not just at Disneyland but at any of the parks like WDW. I've seen some flash their APs all over the place, talk loudly and rudely in lines and stores, use awful language anywhere in the park, gather in groups and say in all seriousness how they're supposedly taking over the park and its theirs. I've been pushed out of line by people wearing Disney fan shirts who told me it was their personal
home. and they were the elite, their term not mine. Then you also have the ones who try to follow you and everyone around bragging about how the rides are put together and behind the scenes stuff just because they want an audience and attention. And they get away with this childishness even after you go to security. They act and seem to really believe that they have the right to do whatever they want and that you can be walked all over because they guess you are not a regular or not wearing one of their shirts or other identifying things. Sometimes I think the parks let them get away with it because they bring in the money.

 I guess I'm not too surprised. In the documentary Trekkies we get shown really extreme examples of Star Trek fanatics. The types that make you realise that person would have been better off being kept away from Star Trek. So I guess people can act overboard about anything.

At WDW its easier to avoid them because the place is so huge. But Disneyland is so small I hope the problem won't be worse when I go out there myself. Maybe security is tighter there with the smaller size or something? I don't know anything about Disneyland security.

Sounds like Dr.Frankenollie has managed to hack into Rich's account!

This is frightening. Does this mean there's a secret place at Disneyland where you get sucked into Frankenollie's lab and have your brain altered? Is it a plot devised by Disney to to get more money out of you?  :mickey:
