Hi,
Where is the best place to view the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom?  We will be staying at the Polynesian so we could watch the fireworks from the beach.  We only have the one fireworks night so want to pick the best spot.  Thanks for your help. ;)

Hello --

I was just at Magic Kingdom last month and stumbled into a castmember who showed us the best place to see the fireworks.

If you go through Cinderella's castle and stand in the circle on the ground directly behind it -- with your back to the castle -- the fireworks will be right in front of you in open sky.

Mind you, you won't have the castle in the foreground of any of your pictures -- but for a clear view of the actual pyrotechnics -- it's the place to be.

For a more romantic view (since you're staying at the polynesian)-- you could always have a late dinner at Ohana in the hotel. A table by the window will give you a perfect view across the water to the castle.

Hope that helps

If you want to see the fireworks from a resort instead of a park, and desire to hear the accompanying music, may I suggest the balcony above the Contemporary. They play it at the Poly near the pool in VERY LITTLE green speakers that are VERY low to the ground and are at a VERY reduced sound level (I found this out the hard way).  :upside: The beach at the Poly is very nice, however the view of the castle/kingdom can be blocked by an island if you do not move away from the main pool area.
All of this is solved however, if you eat at Ohanas, as the music is piped in and the view is quite good (along with the food! )

Have a good trip!

The best place to watch the fireworks, in my opinion, is from the California Grill on top of the Contemporary.  Wow!  What a view! Plus you get the music, and a nice dinner.
