Hello again, everyone -- happy holidays!

Well, folks, if you need to get your Christmas shopping done or you live near one of the parks and want to admire the decorations, this week would be a pretty good time to do it  -- which is my way of saying that there's not much new on about the parks this week; everybody at the Travel Channel and the other TV networks figures we're Disneyed out, I guess. (Is there such a thing? I really doubt it!) A few old favorites will be on, though, so it's not you're going to have to go cold turkey or anything. (Is it just me or is anyone else so full from Thanksgiving dinner that they don't even want to say the word "turkey"? Bleah.) Anyway, here's what's coming up. As always, all times are PST and all shows are on the Travel Channel unless otherwise noted.)

A. Shows About Disney Theme Parks and Resorts

Tuesday December 2, 12:00 p.m., and Thursday, December 4, 9:00 a.m:
Great Hotels - "Disney's Wilderness Lodge"
Host Samantha Brown explores the Walt Disney World hotel inspired by the great national park lodges, going on a quest to find the Fire Rock Geyser and taking a wild ride through the wilderness on the Magic Kingdom's Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

Thursday, December 4, 11:00 a.m.:
"Disney's Imagineers"
Learn about the process behind the creation of attractions for the Disney theme parks, from initial concept to design to construction and testing, and explore some of WDW's most popular attractions, such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Splash Mountain, and the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.

Thursday, December 4, 4:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.:
"Inside Walt Disney Studios Paris"
A look at the construction, the shows, parades, and attractions of Disney's newest theme park, a movie studio park in Europe featuring movie-based attractions such as "Cinemagique", "Armageddon", and the "Moteurs Action" stunt show and thrill rides such as "Rock N' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith."

Wednesday, December 10, 12:00 p.m.:
Great Hotels - "Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge"
Host Samantha Brown takes us on a tour of Walt Disney World's African-themed resort, including a special early-morning safari at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

B. Shows With Segments About Disney Theme Parks and Resorts

Sunday, December 7, 9:00 a.m., Discovery Channel:
"Seven Wonders of America"
A program discussing some of America's largest and most impressive man-made creations includes a segment on the ships of the Disney Cruise Line.

C. Shows Taking Place at Disney Theme Parks and Resorts

Tuesday, December 2, 11:00 a.m., and Wednesday, December 10, 11:30 a.m., The Learning Channel:
A Wedding Story - "Kelly and Robert"
A couple prepares for their fairy-tale Disney wedding at WDW's Grand Floridian Resort.

And that'll do it for this time, folks! Everybody have a good week, good luck with your Christmas shopping, and I'll be back soon. Until then, take care, everybody.
