We have booked our vacation through Disney, and included the transportation from and to the airport, to the Polynesian, with Mears.

Does anyone know if the bus or shuttle is a direct connection to the Polynesian, or is it a good possibility that we may have to wait through several other stops before making it to our resort?  If the latter is true, I may consider contacting Mears and asking if it's possible to pay an additional fee for a non-stop ride to the Polynesian.

We used Mears and had to make a bunch of stops.  Now when we go we use Tiffany Town Car.  It is just your family and the driver.  You go straight to your hotel.  Very nice.  I will be using them again next year when we go.  Phone number is 1-888-838-2161.

I don't know this from personal experience, just by what I've read over and over, but Mears can be a total nightmare!  We have decided to go with Happy Limo, you can get a towncar, Limo or Van.  Will you pay more?  Yep, but to me it's worth it!  It definitley is a personal choice.

Happy Planning!  :minnie:

We always use Mears and never ever  had a problem!  Yes they make stops  but  the ride was never really long for us.......

Since others have provided you several suggestions, let me add my vote for Tiffany Town Car. We have used them several times on trips to WDW and they are really good. Meet you at the terminal in the airport, retrieve your luggage for you, provide a 30 minute quick shop at a local grocery store if you wish and then are there to pick you up at the hotel at the end of your magical stay at WDW.

YMMV, but we took Mears and I don't remember there being any problems.  We were staying at the Caribbean Beach then so I don't know if that matters.  We'll be using them again in May and staying at the Poly.  I don't think a few stops will bug us as we enjoy seeing the other hotels and the views along the way.  Sort of a nice build up.  Our Mears price was $27 rt pp and the town cars are closer to 50+ pp so a couple of extra minutes to view the scenery wasn't worth it to us.  I'll be sure to report how this went when we get back because it seems many people have many different views here.

Yoo Hoo!

Mears' price is per person while Tiffany Town Car's price is per party, not per person (information is based on the last time I used them, YMMV). Tiffany's price from the airport to the Polynesian is $50 one-way; $90 roundtrip. That rate is for a town car, not a van. There is an online coupon for Tiffany Town Car which will save you $5 off a roundtrip from the Orlando Internation Airport to Walt Disney World or surrounding areas.

Mears charges $16 per person one-way; $28 per person round-trip. That's the rate for a Mears van. Children are charged at a lower rate ($12 one-way, $20 roundtrip), but for a family of 2 adults and 2 children, Tiffany Town Car is cheaper:

Mears, 2 adults & 2 children
One-way trip: $56
Roundtrip: $96

Tiffany Town Car, 2 adults & 2 children
One-way trip: $50
Roundtrip: $90 ($85 with coupon)

P.S.: Mear's website lists that children 3 and under are free.

For me its cheaper using Mears!  Only me and my son!

For people with more (3 or more) Im  sure the Town Cars are the better way to  go!

hhhmmmm...I was not charged for my daughter.  She's just about 3. It just says "2 adult" $54.00.  I just figured they were like Disney and didn't charge for under 3.

Jen

P.S.  Is there any way to add the topic that was replied to in the mouseke-track email?  I get the email whenever someone replies but the link is useless since it wraps.  Just a thought because I've replied to more than one post its fairly time-consuming to cut and paste those links in.  Is it in there anywhere and I'm missing it?

My Brother used mears and had to wait for an hour for them to fill the van. The last time i picked him up and said that there was a family that was waiting for 30 mins before his flight arrived so that mears could fill the van. Now keep in mind this is at about 11:30 pm.
