Yoo Hoo, debbart!

Welcome to the Disney Echo! Here's a Minnie-style pair of Disney EchoEars for you as my welcoming gift to you:

Your requests sound exactly like mine! I had a very helpful CM when I called Disney reservations who had actually stayed at Fort Wilderness herself many times and loved it! She recommended loop 2500 which is Cedar Circle.

It is very close to the cabin pool area, there's a creek right behind that loop, there's a nearby bus stop (not that you'll need that if you'll have the golf cart for your entire stay), and there's also a laundry facility very close by.

The two cabins in loop 100 (campsite number 188 & 120) cannot be reserved by you and me because they are only for management of The Walt Disney Co. and other corporate people - - sorry! That would be a great location for staying in a cabin, that's for sure.

Thanks for joining us here, debbart! Have a great trip to WDW and I hope you'll enjoy your Fort Wilderness vacation. Please tell us about it after you get back, okay?

Okay, I've got a few quick questions:  How bad is it when you close PI and catch the bus back to FW?

How long does the bus take?
How hard is it to find your cabin in the dark?
How dark is it? (I already know to bring a flashlight)  :oh:

TIA

I haven't experienced it for myself yet, but I'm going next month. I intend to use our Minnie-van to travel to everywhere except the Magic Kingdom, however, because of what I've read about how slow it is to get to other places using Disney transportation.

So you'll have to wait for others to give you better answers.

I assume with no street lighting that it is very dark once you are inside the camping and cabin areas of Fort Wilderness so I'm shopping for a very bright flashlight today!
:)

Thanks, debbart! Looking forward to your trip report. If you need a place to post pictures, we have room here on the Disney Echo - - just let me know.
