Disney officials unveiled plans for four new multimillion-dollar e-ticket rides and attractions Friday in each of its four local theme parks.

"In fact, outside of a new theme park opening, never in the history of Walt Disney World have we had this many blockbuster attractions under construction at the same time," Walt Disney World President Al Weiss said.

At Disney-MGM Studios, the Stunt Show Spectacular comes to Orlando with car stunts and motorcyle tricks -- all in a 5,000-seat theater. The attraction is slated to open in 2005.

Stitch, from the Disney movie "Lilo and Stitch," gets his own attraction at the Magic Kingdom. Stitch's Great Escape takes the place of Alien Encounter at Tommorowland and is set to open next year.

Soarin' Over California is coming to Epcot. The ride will dangle guests 40 feet high on a giant hang glider in front of a huge screen with scenes from the Golden State. Soarin' takes flight in 2005.

Animal Kingdom will unveil Expedition Everest in 2006. The attraction is a high-speed train ride complete with a 199-foot mountain.

Officials said they're taking advantage of the gradual economic recovery and return of tourism to attract more visitors.

"We're having great attractions trying to draw people here. We made a great announcement about a kids-free offer. Those are things we're trying to do to drive business to the Walt Disney World resort and to Central Florida," Disney representative Ken Potrock said.

When guests use their Visa card to purchase a nondiscounted Disney Dream Maker Vacation Package of four nights or more during the kids-free promotion, one child age 3 to 9 is free with each paying adult. The Dream Maker package includes accommodations for four nights or more at a selected Walt Disney World hotel and an Ultimate Park Hopper ticket valid throughout the package stay. The package must be booked by Jan. 2, 2004.

Guests may choose to stay at the new 2,800-room Pop Century Resort. The resort pays tribute to American pop culture between the 1950s and 1990s. The official opening is set for Dec. 14, and guests can already make reservations. Room rates start at $77 per night.
