Yoo Hoo, Disney EchoEars and happy holidays, everyone!

Well, I've got good news and bad news this time out, folks. The good news is you won't have to worry about rushing home from Christmas shopping to catch the shows on the listings; the bad news is that the reason for that is that there aren't too many shows on the listings this time out. Oh, well, at least the shows that are on the schedule look pretty good! Let's get to the listings. (As always, all times listed are PST and all shows are on The Disney Channel unless otherwise noted.)

A. Shows About Disney Theme Parks

Thursday, December 6, 2:00 a.m.: Walt Disney Presents - "Disneyland After Dark." Walt Disney shows you all the things to do at the Park at night (or will, if he ever gets away from the autograph seekers!). Featuring Louis Armstrong, Bobby Burgess, and Annette.

B. Shows With Segments About Disney Theme Parks

Wednesday, November 28, 7:00 p.m. & 11:00 p.m., The History Channel: Modern Marvels - "Los Angeles." A show on LA's engineering and construction feats and landmarks; includes a segment on Disneyland.

C.  Shows Taking Place in Disney Theme Parks

Monday, November 26, 3:00 p.m., Lifetime:  The Golden Girls - "Two Rode Together."  Dorothy and Sophia take a trip to Walt Disney World.

D.  Special Bonus: Disney-Related Documentary

Tuesday, November 27, 8:45 a.m. and 3:15 p.m.; Independent Film Channel: "The Hand Behind Mickey Mouse: The Ub Iwerks Story."  A profile of groundbreaking animator Ubbe Iwerks, who helped Walt create Mickey and a series of animated cartoons and features, and also came up with many technical innovations that advanced the art of filmmaking.

Saturday, December 8, 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., Arts & Entertainment Network (A&E): "Walt: The Man Behind The Myth." In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of Walt's birth, this documentary tells the story of his life and his creations. Among those interviewed are Fess Parker, Buddy Ebsen and Dean Jones; animator Chuck Jones; film critic Leonard Maltin; and daughter Diane Disney Miller. Narrated by Dick Van Dyke.

E. Special Bonus: DVDs About Disney Theme Parks

Tuesday, December 4, local retailers: Walt Disney Treasures - "Disneyland USA." A collection of classic episodes of "Disneyland" and "Wonderful World of Color" about Walt Disney's original theme park. Contains a special documentary, "The Magic Kingdom and the Magic of Television," hosted by Leonard Maltin, as well as the following four programs:

* "The Disneyland Story." Walt introduces the world to his new TV show and his new theme park.

* "Dateline: Disneyland." The broadcast of the Park's opening ceremonies, featuring Walt Disney, Fess Parker, Buddy Ebsen, and the Mouseketeers, and hosted by Art Linkletter, Bob Cummings, and Ronald Reagan.

* "Disneyland After Dark." Walt Disney shows you all the things to do at the Park at night (or will, if he ever gets away from the autograph seekers!). Featuring Louis Armstrong, Bobby Burgess, and Annette.

*"Disneyland 10th Anniversary Show."  Walt and 1965 Disneyland Ambassador Julie Reihm tour the Park's attractions and have a look at some attractions to come, such as the Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean.

{Poster's note: I don't work for Disney or receive any special compensation for presenting the information about this DVD; I just think it's really cool that they're FINALLY putting out TV shows about the parks on DVD! However, if anyone from Disney is reading this and would like to compensate me for this shameless plug...   :)  }

Hmm...maybe that's why there aren't that many shows this time - Disney wants everyone to go out and buy the DVD! :) But seriously, I hope evertyone has a great next couple of weeks. Take care, and I'll be posting more soon...
