In addition to rumors of Disneyland's "Believe" fireworks coming to WDW's Magic Kingdom (but supposedly even better), according to what < wdwmagic.com > has heard, rumor has it that Disneyland's upcoming 50th anniversary will actually benefit Walt Disney World more than Disneyland itself!

As part of the 50th anniversary celebration of DL, plans are in the works for WDW's four parks to "get a gift from Disneyland" which would be a new attraction in 2005 for the Disney-MGM Studios, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and the Magic Kingdom. Two of these "gifts" would be WDW versions of Disneyland attractions, but the two others might be an all-new attraction or remakes of attractions now at Disneyland Paris and Tokyo DisneySea.
  • D-MGM: Motor Stunt Show from the Walt Disney Studios at Disneyland Paris Resort
  • Disney's Animal Kingdom: Flick's Fun Fair from Disney's California Adventure, rumored to begin construction soon in Camp Minnie-Mickey
  • Epcot: Soarin', the same hang-gliding film shown at Disney's California Adventure but with a different pre-show and architecture, to be built in between Imagination and The Land with its entrance/queue/pre-show inside The Land where Food Rocks currently is (see Food Rocks soon if you're a fan! ). Construction is said to begin in August
  • Magic Kingdom: One or two new projects may appear here in 2005
    • Stitch remake of Alien Encounter
    • Mermaid Lagoon from Tokyo DisneySea being put in the old lagoon of Fantasyland's 20K attraction, with draining of the lagoon said to be starting soon!
Remember, these are rumors and plans may change, not go through as planned, not go through at all, or just be trial balloons that never come to be. And just like all the rumors in this section, none have been officially announced.

Wow!  :Oo:
I'd be even be happy if the only thing that would happen is to finally get a great new E-ticket ride in the old 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea lagoon for the Magic Kingdom!

But poor Disneyland, having to "give" the presents on its own birthday, with rumors from out there that Walt's original park itself is not going to get much for its own 50th birthday celebration.
:sniffle:

According to < screamscape.com >, Soarin’ has been approved! Imagineering is ready to move in their construction office trailers and work could begin any week now. Some sources claims that the ride may use the same Soarin’ Over California film as the DCA version as part of the Disneyland 50th Anniversary Celebration. Other sources claim that a new film with East Coast icons will be used instead.

Perhaps both sides could be right, with Epcot opening the ride with the DCA film for the first year or so and updating it with new film later, perhaps to celebrate Epcot’s own 25th Anniversary in 2007.

end
