One of the recommendations if you and your doctor are treating high blood pressure is to limit salt intake.  It's easy to get used to the taste, after awhile, to very slightly or non-salted foods.

I don't know if the fried chicken served at Hoop Dee Doo Revue is consistently like this, but if you are treating high blood pressure be aware the chicken we had for our dinner show tasted very salty, down internally into the meat.

The show on Food Network on cable/satellite which featured Walt Disney World food (on within the last couple of months) showed, in part, that the famous turkey legs sold from vending carts around WDW are marinated before roasting by injecting a salt marinade into the meat.  In Louisiana we do much the same thing, inject turkeys with flavorful marinades before deep frying the entire bird, it's delicious.  But if the method of preparation for the fried chicken at Hoop is the same as the turkey legs, salt solution marinade, and if you are treating high blood pressure with diet modifications, be aware it may be possible for the meat part of the fried chicken to taste particularly salty and not just the crust.

If it tastes salty to a member of your dining party and that member knows you pretty well, just dive into the ribs instead.  The ribs are meaty, even though they can be fatty which is a hazard in and of itself.  But then again nothing in life is perfect and Hoop is a fun show.  Just wanted to pass that along to help someone.  We saw Hoop in mid-June 2003.
