Yoo Hoo, Disney EchoEars!
Sorry I'm late, folks - I spent too long celebrating after the Super Bowl. (Way to go, Patriots!) :)
Ah, February, when a young man's fancy turns to love...or the Olympics, if he's a sports fan. In any case, if your fancy turns toward TV shows about Disney theme parks, I don't have a whole lot to offer you this time out (the programmers at The Disney Channel are hibernating, I guess). The WDW fans out there should be happy with the some of the choices, though. Let's get going! (As always, all times are PST and all shows are on The Disney Channel unless otherwise noted.)
A. Shows About Disney Theme Parks:
Thursday, February 14, 2:00 a.m.:
Walt Disney Presents - "The Mouseketeers at Walt Disney World"
Members of the New Mickey Mouse Club (Poster's note: That's the 1977 MMC, not the 80's one with Britney and Christina!) travel to Florida to perform and explore the
Vacation Kingdom. Featuring Jo Anne Worley, Ronnie Schell, and Dennis Underwood.
Friday, February 15, 2:00 a.m.:
Walt Disney Presents - "Magic Highway U.S.A."
A show about the past, present (circa 1958) and future (also circa 1958 - more than a few predictions were off) of America's highways. Disneyland fans will recognize the segment on the future of highways from the pre-show area of "Rocket Rods" as well as what became known later on as the "Disneyland Monorail Song" on the soundtrack.
B. Shows Taking Place At Disney Theme Parks (yep, still no shows with segments about the parks):
Saturday, February 16, 5:00 a.m., TBS:
Family Matters- "We're Going To Disney World (part 1)"
As a finalist in an inventors contest, Steve invites the Winslows on his trip to Walt Disney World, where Laura has a fantasy romance---with Stefan Urquelle.
Saturday, February 16, 5:30 a.m., TBS:
Family Matters - "We're Going To Disney World (conclusion)"
Myra rushes to Walt Disney World, fearing something is amiss with Steve - and it's no Mickey Mouse worry: He's
proposed to Laura by the time Myra arrives.
And that's all I have, folks! (Well, maybe there'll be more stuff and new stuff next time...) Until we meet again, have a happy Valentine's Day (make sure you get a good gift for your beloved, guys!). Take care!
