Yoo hoo and hello again, everybody!

Sorry I'm late, folks -- I've been working on getting my new Grillmaster 3000 up to speed for the Labor Day Weekend barbecue. Let's see, those steaks I put in a few minutes ago should be just about done... hey, how'd that beef jerky get on the grill? Anyway, if you're more in the mood for Disney theme parks on TV than for barbecue, you've got some good choices in the next two weeks - there's even a reality show that's going to WDW! (No, not the new edition of "Survivor"...) Here's what's coming up. (As always, all times are PDT. New shows have an asterisk {*} after the listing.)

A. Shows About Disney Theme Parks and Resorts

Monday, September 1, 7:00 a.m., Travel Channel:
"Walt Disney World Resort: Behind the Scenes"
Explore the history and the inner workings of the Florida Disney theme parks in an in-depth, behind the scenes tour of America's favorite vacation destination.

Monday, September 1, 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 5, 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., and Sunday, September 7, 11:00 a.m., Travel Channel:
"Disney Cruise Line"
A close-up look at the public areas and behind the scenes on the Disney Magic and the Disney Wonder, including segments on the ships' planning, design, and construction, visits to the galley, engine control room, a theatre hosting Broadway-style
productions, and the luxurious Walt Disney Suite, and a look at Disney Cruise Line's private island, Castaway Cay.

Tuesday, September 2, 2:00 p.m., Travel Channel:
"DisneySea Revealed"
Get a look at the attractions, shows, water pageants, and restaurants (as well as a very popular fast food cart) at Disney's latest Japanese theme park, a park themed to the seas that cost almost 3 billion dollars and took 10 years to design and construct.

B. Shows With Segments About Disney Theme Parks

Wednesday, August 27, 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., and Thursday, August 28, 2:00 a.m., 5:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., Discovery Home & Living Channel:
"Fun House"
The history of the amusement park fun house, from the 1901 ride "A Trip To The Moon" to today's multimedia spectaculars such as "Terminator 2: 3D." Includes a segment on Disneyland's movie-inspired dark rides.

C. Shows Taking Place at Disney Theme Parks

Wednesday, August 27, 10:00 p.m., ABC:
"The Family"
The reality show's game intensifies as the family tries to come across as polished at a high-class gathering in order to qualify for a trip to WDW for a reunion with relatives from home.*

Thursday, September 4, 7:00 a.m., The Learning Channel:
A Wedding Story - "Kelly and Robert"
A couple prepares for their fairy-tale Disney wedding at WDW's Grand Floridian Resort.

Well, that's going to do it for this time, folks. I hope everybody has a fun and safe Labor Day weekend; if you
have a few bucks to spare, would you consider giving it to the MDA for Jerry's Kids? Thanks. Okay, I think the Grillmaster set up correctly this time - here we go... (Loud boom.) Uh oh. (Picks up phone.) Hello, Home Depot? Do you have any more Grillmaster 3000s left? Yes, I'll hold...Take care, everyone.
