Yoo Hoo, Disney EchoEars!
I'm new here and you can read my first messages in the <a href="http://disneyecho.emuck.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard/topic.cgi?forum=2&topic=72" target="BodyFrame">"Shake Hands!" area here</a>. I asked Rich to post the part of the message dealing with my Disney trips into this forum as well.
I can't believe you haven't been on Rock 'n' Rollercoaster - it's excellent.

It's nicely themed, and if you look down at the floor of the show building during the ride, there's a great view of L.A. - all the lights in a grid system and apparently you can see the Disney Studios - I haven't seen that closely though, personally!

And as for DLP, it is the most wonderful, magical place I've ever been. The castle's pink and gold and very magnificent.

There's an AA dragon underneath the castle (Maleficent) and you can go up to the 2nd floor inside,
Inside balcony of the Castle
which has the story of Sleeping Beauty depicted in different stages as you walk around the inside circle.

Then you can go out on to the balcony which overlooks Fantasyland. It's such a pretty view.

As for the new Studios park there - it's okay. It reminded me a lot of DCA.
Disney Studios Paris frontlot in Nov. 2002
They have the same animation tour, except it's in French which is mighty annoying. They have a version of Rock 'n' Rollercoaster there, but it's nowhere near as good. Neither is the Backlot Tour. They do have a great FX show based on the hit movie Armageddon.. and their WDTV tour is good. That's where they film all the European versions of Playhouse Disney. Luckily for us, we got to see them doing the English one, so we saw the presenters that we see on TV here! Good timing, huh?!
