Official movie WWW site at:

http://www.lordoftherings.net/

This is the movie the discussion forums at Box Office Mojo and even on Disney fan site general discussion topic sites are eagerly anticipating.  This movie is the gazillion ton gorilla this year end box office movie season, be prepared to get out of the way!  Disney fans watch out, it might meet or overtake "Finding Nemo" and "Pirates of the Caribbean"...or not...in terms of gross domestic box office.  We'll just have to see what happens.

Any thoughts so far?

The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King just had it's world premiere in New Zealand.  There are some very early reviews of it already on Rotten Tomatoes, mostly positive:

If anyone wants to talk about this movie, you're invited to.

I grew up reading the Tolkien books and I've been enjoying the LOTR movies even thought several liberties have been taken with the story. Something that was weird was that even more liberties were taken with The Two Towers than with Fellowship Of The Ring! No idea why. But they still are lots of fun to watch.

I'm all eager to see Return Of The King, but I really can't yet. I'm saving every dime for my trip to get certain things while there and I would rather wait until I get back.

There are lots of little passages and things in the books that I wish were left in the movies. They were things which always made me wonder what it might have been like if Walt had tackled these books, such as the ent encounter being much more endearing and personal in the book, the songs written in the book for difference scenes. Oh and the fox reference in the Fellowship book! Anyone else remember that one?
