I just called to make a PS for Liberty Tree Tavern and was told that Daisy does not appear there.  Can anyone confirm?  My 9 yo was really looking forward to seeing her. :help:

We were there in October and at that time it was Minnie, Pluto, Chip & Dale.

According to Deb Wills' WDW Information Guide WWW site, Daisy Duck is supposed to be at Liberty Tree Tavern, but this is an outdated listing Deb needs to correct.  It was announced over the summer a change of character appearance at that restaurant.  As of the first weekend of October 2003 (when we were at WDW and ate at Liberty Tree Tavern) Daisy Duck was not there any more as per the announcement over the summer.  If you make priority seating arrangements ahead of a trip you might ask Disney if/where a character meal with Daisy Duck is, otherwise in the alternative ask at which theme park on which day at least meeting and greeting with Daisy Duck might be possible.  Sorry the news isn't better.

Looks like they've gone back to the original cast sans Goofy.  There's been reports the mice from Cinderella, Suzy and Perla, are sometimes at LTT.  The announcement of Donald and Daisy seems to have been false I'm sad to say.

Where in the World is Daisy Duck?   :uhoh:

I'll call when we're close to going to find out where she might be on what day.  This is our 3rd trip, and it would make my daughters whole trip to meet Daisy.

Besides LTV, I have not found a reference to Daisy attending any other character meals.

I have something that might help on my site.  Just click on the link: < Character Location Spreadsheet >

The guy who does this really trys to keep it updated and as accurate as possible.  As always, no guarantees but it should help.  Also, you can ask Guest Services at each park if Daisy will be around while you are there.

Good Luck in Your Daisy Quest!  :sorcerer:

Here's a URL to Deb Wills Unofficial WDW Information Guide Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) on Disney Character Meet and Greets in the theme parks.  Daisy Duck is not a frequent character to come upon, so she might be hard to find during the time of your vacation, or maybe she'll be somewhere after all.  To be truthful, for the more minor stars of the Disney animated universe you might want to talk at home among your family in terms of "if" you happen to meet Daisy Duck instead of "Of course we'll see Daisy Duck."  It's indeed possible that character might be somewhere at one of the parks when you're vacationing there, but just in case she isn't there or somehow you miss her, then "if" will "cover" you and you'll soften the situation somewhat.  The FAQ might help you direct your queries about finding Daisy Duck, good luck, and enjoy!  (If link doesn't work just copy and paste into your Internet browser, or go to her site, hit Theme Parks, and in the left column menu bar look for Character Meet and Greet FAQ, something like that.)

May the Pixie Dust Force be with you and your daughter to see Daisy Duck after all!

Scott,

Thanks for the link to the excel file.  It will be a big help in our quest.  I'm even going to make a PS at Donald's Breakfastosaurus just on the off chance Daisy might be there.

Carol,

Thanks for the advice.  I've been to Deb's site several times, but have not checked that particular FAQ.

Sadly, we always tell my daughter the odds are against seeing Daisy.  This really all started when she fell in love with a Daisy Duck hat during our first trip when she was 5.  We tried to find Daisy that whole trip, and our second trip as well, but no luck.

The quest for Daisy actually resulted in a great Disney Moment for us.  When a CM saw my daughter wearing the hat she offered to go and see if Daisy was in MK that day.  Though the CM had to later tell us that Daisy was "out shopping", my wife and I were very touched that, unsolicited, she went out of her way to try to make our trip special.

No guarantees, but try to be at Magic Kingdom on a day when they have this very nice opening show at the train station facing outward towards the entry turnstyles.  I don't know if they do this same opening ceremony/show all the time or only during peak times of year.  But anyway lots of various Disney characters are part of that show.  If you look and see Daisy Duck, chances are good that after the show, in the central plaza of Main Street, she will be at some sort of character meet and greet there.  Another chance to see her might be at Mickey's Toontown at the character meet and greet line up inside the buildings.  A third chance to maybe see her is during any Official Disneyana Convention at WDW or DL (as a registered attendee) or at a National Fantasy Fan Club convention held at Disneyland at either of their meetings (mini-con in January, major annual convention the week of DL's birthday in July, also as a registered attendee).   The NFFC has an official WWW site at LaughingPlace.com for more information about their organization.  Since Daisy Duck is considered "rare" perhaps any of those possibilities would be possible sightings and meetings for you and your family.  The Official Disneyana Conventions stopped meeting this year but maybe next year or in a future year they'll start back up.  Again, sorry the news isn't better.  They have lots of Disney characters that do meet and greets and some of the major Disney characters have various costume changes they appear in (Uncle Sam Mickey, for example) but the likelihood they will bring out the lesser known characters is always possible but never a sure bet.  Good luck.  Sometimes the quest is more fun than actually reaching the goal, could be a fun family in-joke, like an Indiana Jones quest that you write trip diaries and make up some family fictions about the adventure to hunt for Miss Daisy.

Concerning making reservations at Animal Kingdom's Donald Duck character breakfast hoping that Daisy Duck will be there:  Deb Wills' site lists which characters appear at which restaurants on the property.  Although Deb needs to update that Daisy no longer appears at MK's Liberty Tree Tavern, the rest of the list tends to be rather accurate.  Select on Deb's site menu options pointing to Dining and Dining with the Characters.  You should see a long list of Disney characters along with which restaurants and which meals the characters appear at.  You should be able to click on the character name or any of the list.  I was not able to click on Daisy Duck, so at least Deb did disable that reference even though she didn't edit the list to reflect Daisy no longer appears (Deb should delete the name entirely).  The best you can do is dine with Donald Duck somewhere and hope to run into Daisy at a meet and greet of some sort.  Keep asking every time you phone Disney, ask at each theme park's Guest Relations and try to get a list of character meet and greet locations, times and names from Guest Relations at each park.

Again, good luck.  It's not totally fruitless.  But it's also not totally likely, either.  Nothing in life is easy!  But like earlier sometimes making it into a silly and fun in-joke family quest can turn the whole thing more into fun and fond memories than simply trudging trudging trudging and asking asking and more asking and coming up empty, disappointed and false hopes dashed.

A Character like Daisy Duck rarely appears but here's the best chance of seeing her:

First thing in the morning, go to City Hall at the Magic Kingdom and ask a CM at the desk there. Explain why your daughter loves Daisy so much. Sometimes they might "find a way" to have some magic happen -- or perhaps Daisy might actually be scheduled sometime during that day already. You might be able to have them check for other days of your vacation, too, while you're at it.

Good luck!

Rich,

Thanks for the advice.  We'll definitely give it a try.
