Well I did a lot of checking and Disney Travel gave me the best deal.  We are going to be there Dec. 12 - 17.  We are staying at the Disneyland Hotel.  I got the Grand Plan, 5 Day Dining, 5 Day Hopper Pass and airline tickets.   :tounge:  Now all I have to do is wait for the time to pass.

Isn't it a wonderful feeling to have it booked!

My girlfriend and I are going May 5 thru 9:  GCH, Grand Plan, 5 Day Pass, Dining Plan, etc. too.  I'm not sure if I got the best deal in town with Disney Travel but it sure was easy to take care of everything and have things just as I want them.

Since I don't really travel often (I'm single) I am indulging in everything first class. I want to be pampered, feel playful and have fun.

I tend to find myself asking two questions, depending on what I am about to do. These have become part of my trip preparations.

The first is: if I am about to eat something, I ask myself: How will this affect what you look like in shorts on a wonderful sunny day at Disneyland?

The second is: If I am about to spend money:  Would you rather buy this (trinket, pair of shoes, tupperware, etc.) or would you rather spend the money at Disneyland? (So far I have decided I want to spend it at Disneyland. My Disney spending money jar has more than $180 in it right now!;)

By the way, the time of year you are going is supposed to be magical. I think my second trip to Disneyland (2004, I hope) will be during the same time period in December.

Well from everything I have been looking at it seems like Christmas time is going to be exciting.  It was either go then or spring break.  I think there will be less people when we plan to go.

I know what you mean about saving money now for the trip.  I do not want to buy anything unless it has to do with the trip.  But I guess I still have to feed everyone, so I do have to buy food.  If they would quit eating until Dec. we would have lots of money to spend in DL. :tounge:

I went on Dec 17-23 of 2002. It wasn't to busy at all except for the weekend(as always). Disneyland is great, but it is very special at Christmas time. I have always wanted to go since I was a kid and my children got a big thrill at getting a picture with Mickey AND Santa together.  We're looking at going again this Christmas.  Hope to see you there.

Yoo Hoo!

I love visiting the Magic Kingdom when the Christmas decorations are up! Have a great time, rickiedestinymama.

goodgirl, please let us know what it was like being on the Grand Plan, okay? I've very curious about how you'll like it.

And tarheel2017, welcome to the Disney Echo! Sounds like you love being at Disney at Christmastime as much as I do! Sorry it's kinda late for Christmas, but I have a welcoming "gift" for you right now for joining the Disney Echo: your own pair of Disney EchoEars! Here they are...

Well now I am even more excited after what everyone has said.  I ordered maps of DL and CA, so we can start planning our days.  I ordered the VHS from disney.com.  I can't wait to get it.  The kids are getting more excited every day.  I have autograph books and pins to trade.  Now we are just waiting.
