I recently went to WDW and have a few questions...

1)What is Celebration?
2)Does anyone have a link for the WDW magazine? I tried to subscribe to it but I haven't heard anything yet... The website didn't seem to accept the information I added to it.

:help:

Thanks!    :icecream:

Lastly, where did the "saratoga Springs" resort idea come from? I was just wondering because there is a Saratoga Springs in New York (upstate), it features the Harness track. I was just wondering if it came from there or from elsewhere...

Yes Saratoga Springs at WDW/DVC is modeled after the NY Saratoga Springs.  When I went by there tonight on my way home from the movies at Downtown Disney, I could see the construction site.  It looks like some of the buildings from the Disney Institute are still standing...As far as I could tell it was the Theater, the classroom building located next to it and the buliding that housed the spa.  The DVC castmember I talked to tonight said that Saratoga Springs is slated to open May 17, 2004 and that they are already selling the rooms :)

Yoo Hoo!

Great discussion! I'm going to move it to the Disney Vacation Club forum now, so go there to add additional replies.

Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa Pampers Guests

Nestled on a tranquil lakeside site, Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa recalls upstate New York country retreats of the late 1800s. The historical influence of health and horses inspired the art and architecture of the resort currently under construction at Walt Disney World Resort.

Upon completion, the 65-acre resort will become the seventh and largest Disney Vacation Club resort to date with 552 total accommodations including studio, one- and two-bedroom villas and Grand Villa units housed in 12 distinct buildings.

The resort also will feature a themed pool with a natural springs-inspired pool slide, plus a dining and retail district. Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is scheduled to open in phases beginning spring 2004.

MAGICAL SPRINGS

Opening beginning spring 2004, Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa lies just across the lake from the magical metropolis of Downtown Disney at the Walt Disney World Resort. From its colorful Victorian architecture to the historic influence of horse racing, this lakeside community recaptures the heyday of upstate New York country retreats in the late 1800s. This Disney Vacation Club Resort will feature a full-service spa, neighborhood eatery and market, a theme pool with slide, playground, tennis and convenient access to the Lake Buena Vista Golf Course.

COMFORTS OF HOME

The new Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa (opening in Spring 2004) will offer 552 Vacation Homes ranging from comfortable studios to spacious three-bedroom Grand Villas. Here the comforts of home surround guests, including full kitchens and living rooms in the one-, two- and three-bedroom villa units. Part of the collection of Disney Vacation Club Resorts, Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is the seventh Disney vacation ownership property to debut since the program launched in October 1991.
