Normally we don't even make a p.s. for this until September, but, I was told that this year, LTT is a *designated* restaurant for MNSSHP...whatever that means! I think they said they extended it to 120 days this year. The other thing we usully don't do is go on Oct 31....Halloween! We're doing it this year because our friends little boy has his birthday on that date. LOL! But, in a way, you're absolutely right, Rich! They won't make p.s.'s for an MK restaurant after 5 because they ask everyone to leave at 6. So, if you've got a ticket to MNSSHP, they will make it. Then, when you go through the turnstyle they will ask for your party ticket as well as your pass. What we like is the fact that, while everyone who doesn't have a ticket to the party is being ushered out of the park, we're eating and relaxing. Then, around 7 they start letting people in. By that time we've done the Small World about 4 or 5 times while they set up the photo booth, so we're one of the first in line for that!
By the way, Jenn....I went as Mulan last year! It was easy for me, though, because I already have black hair. I also had a pair of black satin p.j.'s, so all I had to do was make a top with some pretty rayon material I had some extra of, and added a turquoise sash from some old material!  :flag2:

Yoo Hoo, Maggie!

That sounds like a great costume, but I don't think I'd look good in it.

So, what happens to people who have entered the Magic Kingdom earlier that day and get the wristbands, but don't have PS for LTT? Are they instructed to go to a certain part of the Magic Kingdom to wait for the official start of the party, or do they not have to leave if they've gotten their wristband when entering earlier in the day?

Also, is there any special party room for Annual Passholders during MNSSHP? Someone had written that there was a special AP area during MNSSHP in a message on r.a.d.p.
:help:

Depending on how early you enter the MK, say after 4 p.m., you'll be asked if you have tickets to MNSSHP. If you do, they'll advise you of the hours, then sometime around 6 p.m. when everyone else is being ushered out of the park, you'll be ushered to another area. Last year people were being asked to go into Fantasyland. As for the special AP  lounges, they did have them last year and were very nice. They were indoors, one being on the 3rd floor in Epcot, with free sodas and snacks. However, from what I've heard, they've been discontinued. It' s a shame, too, as they were very nice. :minnie:

No, I didn't mean the AP lounges at the various parks that have since been discontinued. Is there a special AP lounge at the MK only during MNSSHP? That's the impression I got from reading someone else's post about last year's party.

My family had a great time at the party.  The decorations are fantastic!  It was fun to see how Main Street was transformed.  We loved the large pumpkin balloon out front.  We could see it from the Polynesian and it was so exciting!
DEFINATELY get your pic taken!
Some lines we still long, but most went quick.  Haunted Mansion was fun!

We wish were there!

I have a question, and it concerns some second-hand information, so here goes:

My husbands parents are taking us to WDW in October.  All expenses paid..I know, how cool is that!   :buttrock:
Anyway, my mother-in-law just purchased our MNSSHP tickets yesterday and was told that this year only 18 and under may wear costumes.
Now, I know of a few adults, on other lists, who are planning on wearing costumes...so I'm wondering if this information is accurate.  It seems like if it were true it would be posted somewhere.  Anyway, just thought I'd ask before resorting to calling WDW and asking myself.

No, that is not correct. I posted here a few weeks ago the email I got when I asked Disney this very question. I'll search for it now and then repost it after I find it.

Your post had me concerned so I called Disney.

The CM on the phone said the adults were not allowed to wear scary costumes, no mask what so ever or face paint or Disney costumes.

She said that adults (not CM's) that were in Disney costumes were being mistaken for Disney characters and Disney doesn't want that as they can't control the interaction.

She said that adults with costumes breaking these rules would not be allowed in.

Can someone else call and double check this info?

Thanks!

No need to call. Here's the email info (reposted from above in this thread) that Disney sent me just a few weeks ago about this:

Rules for wearing costumes at MNSSHP

I emailed WDW with the following question:

Yoo Hoo!

We (wife Carol, 7 1/2-year-old son Michael, and me) have tickets to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party for October 3rd. My son wants to wear a commercially-bought (at a Christian bookstore) Michael the Archangel costume, which would be a plastic breastplate, plastic armor hat which doesn't go in front of the face, and plastic sword. Are there any costume restrictions for MNNSHP that we should know about? I've seen plastic swords for sale in the shop outside Pirates of the Caribbean, so I *think* y'all are okay with plastic swords (obviously toy fakes) at the party, but I wanted to make sure.

Also, is it okay for us parents to dress up, too?

Thanks in advance for responding to my questions. You guys are the best!

Those are the same rules that came with my tickets to MNSSHP but the rules do not say anything about Adults not being allowed to wear Disney costumes.

I specifically asked the cm on the phone if my DH could be Donald Duck - NO!  Can I be Daisy Duck - NO!

I will call again and see what response I get.
