Get Ready for Two New Un-Bear-Ably Fun Adventures With Disney's Brother Bear PC Game and Disney's Brother Bear for Nintendo Game Boy Advance

New Disney Interactive Games Extend the Magic of The Walt Disney Company's Animated Feature Film Disney's Brother Bear, in Theaters Nov. 1

BURBANK, Calif., Nov 4, 2003 -- FUR-ocious friends face off against foes in two new action-packed, wilderness adventures for kids. Disney Interactive, a publishing label of Buena Vista Games, Inc., today announced that Disney's Brother Bear PC CD-ROM and Disney's Brother Bear for Nintendo Game Boy® Advance are now shipping to stores nationwide. Inspired by Walt Disney Pictures' animated feature film, Disney's Brother Bear, each game will take kids on an extraordinary journey through the wilds of the Great American Northwest with the film's charismatic bears, Kenai and Koda. Delivering a 3D experience unlike any other, the PC title takes older kids on an exciting quest through amazing locales while they try to outpace the hunter, Denahi. The Game Boy Advance title provides kids of all ages with an inviting tale of interactive exploration within four incredible environments. The movie opened nationwide Nov. 1.

"Disney Interactive is thrilled to bring the exciting tale of Disney's Brother Bear to young gamers," said Bob Picunko, director of marketing for Disney Interactive. "Featuring the same fun-filled action and characters as the film, both titles offer an exciting mix of high-spirited adventure and brain twister challenges that kids will surely enjoy."

Disney's Brother Bear PC Game

Disney's Brother Bear PC is an action-adventure game that takes children, ages six and up, on a 3D adventure of a lifetime. Playing the role of Kenai and with the help of his pal Koda, players journey through three interactive levels on a mission to find the Northern Lights. Each level provides kids with plenty of challenges as they make their way through the many wild locales, including Aspen Forest, Ice Run, Salmon Forest and the Valley of Fire. Uncovering mystical totems keep players one step ahead of their pursuer, the hunter Denahi, and gives them special powers, such as being able to soar like an eagle, leap great distances like a wolf or peer into dark, hidden areas with the eyes of a crow.

The game features seven characters from the film for kids to have fun with including Rutt and Tuke, the hilarious moose brothers. Real-time 3D graphics make the game's environments rich and vibrant in detail, providing an interactive gaming experience unlike any other.

Disney's Brother Bear for Game Boy Advance

Disney's Brother Bear for Game Boy Advance allows kids of all ages to play the roles of Kenai the bear and his friend Koda, either individually or as a team, as they take a magical, discovery-filled journey to find "where the lights meet the sky." The trek has kids jumping and running through four incredible, rich environments, including Snowy Forest, Ice Cave, Valley of Fire and The Mountain, each packed with four exciting gameplay levels and more. While sharing in fun activities with friends and fending off foes, players must watch out for grabable wolf, bear and eagle totems that can unlock exciting new levels and mini games, as well as collect berries to restore health.

Characters from the film, including Rutt and Tuke, are featured for kids to interact with. To deliver the most immersive gaming experience possible, the title features special scaling effects that make chase sequences incredibly dramatic and cinematically cut scenes, enriched with animation.

Disney's Brother Bear Animated Feature Film

The powerful and playful bond between brothers and man's bond with nature are explored with great drama and comedy in Walt Disney Pictures' exciting new animated tale of brotherhood, bears and breathtaking outdoor adventure. Driven by six great new songs from Academy Award® winner Phil Collins (including a sensational performance by legendary singer Tina Turner on the Collins-composed tune, "Great Spirits"), the film follows the incredible adventures of a young man named Kenai who is transformed into a bear. From his new perspective, Kenai discovers the world through the eyes of another as he is befriended by a bear cub named Koda, has a hilarious encounter with a pair of misguided moose, and finds himself pursued by his own sibling. A colorful cast of animals adds to the fun and excitement of this third motion picture created by Disney's Florida Animation Studio ("Mulan," "Lilo & Stitch"). Phil Collins' music (his first film effort since "Tarzan") and score (co-composed with Mark Mancina) gives this film a joyous and entertaining rhythm that highlights the action, comedy and emotion.

Both titles are now shipping to stores nationwide. Disney's Brother Bear for Game Boy Advance carries a suggested retail price of $29.99. Disney's Brother Bear PC game carries a suggested retail price of $19.99.
