Hi! I was just wondering about the Polynesian's Valet Parking policy. Last time we were there there was no charge, however we always tipped. I thought I heard that there is now a charge. If you are a guest, do you have to pay every time you take your car and come back or is there one fee for length of stay? Also, how do you now handle tipping?
Thanks for any help.      :)

Yes, there is a charge now for valet parking and you should also tip the person taking your car and retrieving it for you (at least the way I see it). Tipping would happen each time, but I'm not sure if valet parking allows you to park all day with unlimited in and out or not, or whether paying valet parking at one resort is then honored for that day at another resort as well.

This sounds like a question for Tikiman!

HI!  We just returned from a week at the Poly last night :o !  (I promise a trip report very soon)  Valet parking is $6.00 per day and I would definately tip also - but we decided to self park (free), not really because we were trying to economize, but because we wanted to have easy access to our rental car with out waiting for someone to get it for us.  It really was very convenient.  By the way, one great piece of advice I picked up from somewhere was to bring an antenna topper for your rental car.  We had a bright pink princess one that I had picked up on clearance at the Disney Store.  Our generic 4-door sedan rental car looked like every other one in the lot - but all we had to do was look for our "little princess"!

Hi! Hope you had a wonderful trip! And welcome back! I would like to add, however, that handicapped parking is free, even for valet! We didn't know this until a few years ago someone told us, so when we pulled up to go to 'Ohanna's for dinner, I put up the handicap sticker and they let me know about it then. They were so sweet! They didn't even want to take the tip I offered, but I insisted, so it worked out well all around.
