Arrival day:
Since we have relatives in the Orlando area, we arrived 2 days before our poly vacation began so we could do some visiting and not use our Disney time.  I was lucky to be eligible for 2 free nights at the Renaissance Sea World Resort because I save up Marriott reward points.  It is a very nice hotel right across the street from Sea World  - they upgraded us to concierge -woo-hoo!  We wanted to get that Disney feeling right away so I made a reservation for dinner at the California Grill in the Contemporary so that we would be there for the fireworks.  We arrived a little early for our reservation and I asked for a window table and said we would be willing to wait.  We were seated right away at a great window table even before our P.S. time!  What a way to start your vacation!  The food was great (although pricey, we decided it was worth it) and the view was fantastic.  At fireworks time the lights turned down and the music heard in the Magic Kingdom was piped into the restaurant.  WOW!
We did our required relation visit the next day and were ready to hit the parks EARLY on our first Disney day.  We checked in at the poly and they stored our luggage until our room was ready.  We headed to the Magic Kingdom before 9am.  We came back around 3 to move into our room and take a much-needed break in the air conditioning.  We loved our room.  It was plenty big for the 4 (adult size) of us.  I found the storage space in our room more than adequate.  I was able to unpack all the suitcases into the drawers and closet (we had 13 hangers in there and I could have asked for more but that was enough for us) .  There was room in the closet to store our suitcases and I left one open on the closet floor to serve as a laundry hamper.  In case you’re a family with allergies and you’re wondering like I was….no down pillows or comforters in our room.  Speaking of allergies, my daughter has severe food allergies and I want to tell you how all of the WDW restaurants responded to her restrictions….but that deserves its own chapter in my trip report.   All I can say is WOW!…wow, wow, wow…I don’t think my daughter will want to vacation anywhere else ever again.  It was incredible.

Just wondering...what room/building were you in? :)

Did you like it's location, etc.?
