Yoo Hoo, Disney EchoEars!

I spent nearly an hour going over a digital preview of the new 2-disc DVD of Finding Nemo today. This is a must-have DVD! The picture quality is superb because it is a direct-to-disc copy from Pixar's digital files of the movie -- digital all the way! The colors are very rich and vivid. The lighting is superb, with lifelike shading and shadows.

You're really going to like this one, EchoEars. And not just the look of the picture, the DVD is also rich with behind-the-scenes material including deleted scenes, outtakes, and storyboard sessions recorded as they happened which show how the Pixar team discovered weak points in their story and how they brainstormed to come up with the funny solutions that appear in the movie.

I'll be posting more details from the official press release which I think you'll enjoy seeing.

Remember, if you order Finding Nemo through this link, you'll be helping out the Disney Echo.

I'm looking forward to finding this under the tree this year. On a sad note someone on anther board who lives in the Chicago area found this at a swap meet and bought it.  :unhappy:  I wish they had realized it was stolen and had reported the seller insteand of buying it from a thief. I for one would NOT have bought it. :hurt:

Yoo Hoo, Disney EchoEars!

I got my Finding Nemo DVD today and it is fabulous! Even better than Pixar's Monsters, Inc. DVD, and that's saying a lot. Among the trailers of upcoming movies included on it is one for Disney's next animated feature, "Home on the Range," opening April 2, 2004. However, the version of the trailer on the DVD is different than the one I saw in the feature and online at disney.com here.

I like the trailer in the theaters and online but I don't like the trailer on the DVD. Perhaps since the DVD had a deadline for the pressing of all of the DVDs the date was earlier for when they needed a trailer than the movie theaters and online did? That's the only way I can explain that the DVD trailer stinks but the online and in-theater version of the trailer seems funnier and better.

Also, we got our copy at Wal-Mart and the "Nemo's Underwater World of Fun" CD-ROM game came included with the Finding Nemo DVD at no extra cost.

All the special extra stuff on the 2-disc DVD are great, as well as the movie!
