Yes, like the title says this sweet documentary about Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston, two veteran animators who worked for Walt Disney, is apparently now on DVD.  While this may not appeal to everyone, this should be essential for the Disneyana or Walt Disney or traditional Disney animation fan's collection.  If you know of an art student or Disney fan or anyone who has great friendships which spark the best in another person, this is a great gift for any such person.  If you need some uplift and spark of insight into the creative process, or creative dedication to one's art, this is a great gift for such a person.  I'm not sure where to purchase this DVD, however, which is kind of a niche title.  If you've never seen "Frank and Ollie" and admire the traditional Disney animated films and cartoons, it's a title definitely worth looking into.  "Frank and Ollie" would couple well with the Walt Disney biographical home video/DVD "Walt Disney: The Man Behind the Myth", which I know is for sale at a lot of WDW stores, I know it's at World of Disney, so just call up WDW Merchandise Mail Order and ask for it.  Might be "Frank and Ollie" would be there, too, I don't know but it never hurts to ask.  Both titles rate "excellent".

Oh yes!  I love their work.

If anyone is interested, you can find the DVD at Amazon.com here.

And you can read about Frank and Ollie at their website.

They are still active and you can order autographed merchandise from their site as well.

:D

This DVD has extra material not seen on the VHS original release.  And this is the sweetest part:  It was officially released on November 18, 2003 (Mickey Mouse's 75th birthday).  Aren't your heartstrings just tugging?  Heavens, along with "Walt Disney: Man Behind the Myth" "Frank and Ollie" is worthy of being donated to a school or art department or library, as well as good gifts for this time of year.  Thumbs up!
