Yoo Hoo and hello again, everyone!

Something's not quite right here, folks. It's November - which means November sweeps, the time where networks bring out lots of exciting stuff, yet there aren't a whole lot of new shows about the Disney parks coming out. Please note that I said there were only a few new shows, not  none -- "Great Hotels" is premiering  a new show on the Grand Californian this week, and the Travel Channel will be re-broadcasting their new show on the Disneyland Resort soon, so Disneyland fans, set your VCRs and PVRs! Here's what's coming up. (As always, all times are PST and all shows are on the Travel Channel unless otherwise noted.)

A. Shows About Disney Theme Parks and Resorts

Monday, November 10, 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 12, 9:00 a.m. :
Great Hotels - "Disney's Grand Californian Hotel"
Host Samantha Brown visits the newest hotel at the Disneyland Resort, including having breakfast with Disney characters at Storytellers' Cafe and joining a group of teenagers for a wild rollercoaster ride.

Thursday, November 13, 9:00 a.m.:
Great Hotels - "Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge"
Host Samantha Brown takes us on a tour of Walt Disney World's African-themed resort, including a special early-morning safari at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Tuesday, November 18, 9:00 a.m., and Thursday, November 20, 12:30 p.m.:
Great Hotels - "Disney's Grand Floridian"
Host Samantha Brown shows us the premier hotel of the Walt Disney World resort and spends some time having fun at the Magic Kingdom.

Friday, November 21, 9:30 a.m.:
Great Hotels: "Disney's Yacht & Beach Club"
Host Samantha Brown takes us on a tour of  Walt Disney World's seaside-themed resorts and nearby attractions, such as Disney's Boardwalk and Epcot's World Showcase.  Watch as Samantha finds out why the sundae at Beaches and Cream is called "The Kitchen Sink!"

Thursday, November 27, 12:00 p.m.:
"Disneyland Resort: Behind The Scenes"
Explore the world-famous California theme park and its California-themed sister park for a look at rides and shows such as the Matterhorn Bobsleds, the Indiana Jones Adventure, Soarin' Over California, and Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular. Gain access to places seldom seen by the public, including Walt Disney's private apartment and a secret club in New Orleans Square.

B. Shows With Segments About Disney Theme Parks and Resorts

Monday, November 10, 9:30 a.m., Food Network:
Wolfgang Puck - "Adventures in Seafood"
Features a segment on the now-closed Avalon Cove Restaurant at Disney's California Adventure.

C. Bonus: Shows About Other Disney-Related Destinations

Monday, November 17, 7:30 p.m., KCET-TV (PBS), Los Angeles (This program may air on other PBS stations - check local listings).
California's Gold. - "Barns"
A program about barns includes a visit to Walt's Barn, the barn built for Walt's backyard railroad that now resides on the grounds of a miniature train enthusiasts' club in Los Angeles' Griffith Park.

And that's about it for this time, gang! I'll be back soon - until then, take care, everyone.

Yoo Hoo, Disney EchoEars!

Carol points out that coming up on Sunday, November 16th is the 3rd and final showing (until the next time in the cycle that it gets repeated again, so far unannounced) of this episode of the Travel Channel's "Great Hotels" series featuring Disney's Grand Californian Hotel in the month of November.

Carol and I agree that it's fabulous and very funny.  Program your VCR accordingly or make sure your TiVo will be grabbing it for you, or keep checking the Travel Channel's TV listings or
your favorite TV listing sites or magazine or newspaper for:

Great Hotels: Disney's Grand Californian Hotel
Sunday, November 16, 2003
9:30 am Eastern, 8:30 am Central, 7:30 am Mountain, 6:30 am Pacific Time
30-minutes
Travel Channel
