Anyone know what sort of stuff is sold on the Disney cruise lines? I'm planning on taking one for the first time next year and am putting some extra money aside for buying stuff. Also is there a Disney cruise line CD out yet?

I haven't been on the ship since 1998 but when we were they had Plush, Luggage, Jewlwery, Cups, magnetcs, Cloths and other stuff. I got a shirt and sis got a Beach bag with the logo on it. I think they have towels too. I'll be sailing on the Wonder in Augest and can find out more then if noone else can answer befor this. :mickey:

There are two main shops on the ship, one sells mainly Disney-related items (plushes, t-shirts, magnets, towels, photo albums, pins, postcards, etc.). The other shop sells more up-scale (translation, expensive $$$;)) items like clothing, jewelry and collectibles.  You can also purchase duty-free liquor on board.

Our cruise did not  :(  dock at Castaway Cay because of bad weather, but I understand that you can also purchase things like towels, t-shirts and pins at the shop on the island.

I think that about covers it, but if you're wondering about anything specific, just ask and maybe someone will remember.

I've read a tip that you should shop onboard for souvenEARS the first day you are on the ship, because once they run out of anything it doesn't get replenished until the next cruise.

Oh, excellent point, Rich!

On our cruise they ran out of the Mickey antenna toppers with the captain's hat very early in the cruise.  Friends who didn't purchase them on the first of second day missed out.

On another friend's cruise, it was the DCL t-shirts that sold out in most of the adult sizes.

So I agree.  Visit the shops early in the cruise and don't delay purchasing items you really want.

Yes Rose, Castawy Cay has it own Merchandise. On of the best souvenEARS ( has Rich would say) was sending a post card from Castaway Cay. I  have a Pin I got there and we got mom a shirt and a magnet. Oh Sis and I got the Beach contaners that you hang around your neck and can put money in or your Card to the world in. I remeber them selling beach shoes and towels and Some other stuff. There was a second shop that had Bahama type stuff in it. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies everybody!  :)

LilMarcieMouse, yes please do! Let me know here after your trip what you can remember. That wound be great!

There are three things I'm hoping they might have. I'm looking for a Goofy plush with him in a sailor or captain's outfit, not a beanie but a real plush. I also want to see if they have any captain or sailor hats with Goofy ears and if there's a DCL album out yet.

Thanks for the advice Rich! I'll have to shop as soon as I'm on board.
