hi everyone!  i have been back from YC concierge stay for 4 weeks alredy, an i apologize for not writing a report!!!!
we spent 9 nights at YC concierge, this was our 4th time staying concierge at the YC.  we are treated so wonderfully there, all the cm's know us, and they are the best!!!!!!!!

we had the perfect view of SAB, crescent lake and the BW.  i love being able to see the tops of some of the countries at WS also!  it's romantic! :)

they changed the food in the lounge, the evening hor'deuvres mainly...they have hummus and pita bread every night, 4 different kinds, sundried tomato, kalmata olive, garlic, and one other I cant think of right now.
they also have one hot dish from one of the Y&B club restaurants(Yachtsman or Cape May) each evening, and macn cheese for the kids.
they still have the veggies n'dip, crackers n cheese, pbj.

there was a nice assortment of afternoon snacks, popcorn, pretzels, goldfish, chips n salsa, cookies, pudding cups, gummy worms, pbj, cake later in the afternoon.

breakfast is the same as always, cereal, fruit, danish, english muffins, bagels, toast, coffee cake, donuts.....

i was never in the lounge during evening desserts, but i know they have pastries and a cake every night, along w/the cordials.

aside from the evening hor'deuvres change, another change is that they now have beer!  this was a big topic amongst Disney regulars.....  they have a few different kinds, miller light, bud... you have to ask for it, which I think is smart, they have to have some control over kids!

anyway, we had such a great time, that we decided to stay our entire 16 nights at YC conierge in November! :)  and guess what, today starts our 90 day countdown!!! :)

I have a cruise in 2 weeks and a 4 night stay at Universal in october first though, so that Nov trip seems ions away!

i will post a bit more about our trip during the week, but fire away w/questions if you have any!!! :)

Welcome back Princess Angel,

You are so lucky you get to spend so much time at Disney resorts!  I'm jealous.....

My 10 year old wants to know if the donuts in the lounge are Krispee Kreams.  We had them every morning at the Poly last May.  Now we try to get them once a month to "remind" us  LOL

And now you can be reminded online, too:

hi Briar Rose,
Yes, they have krispy kremes in the lounge at the Yacht Club!!!   sooooo yummy!  :)

Rich and Princess Angel,

Thanks for answering my Krispy Kreme post.

My boys (and I) will enjoy the awesome donuts each and every morning of our stay!  We will be concierge at the Beach Club, but I assume the food is the same, right?

Also, Expert P.A., can you suggest two connecting rooms I should request?  We are standard view and want daybeds..........

Thanks!

Brair Rose,
The BC concierge does also have krispy kremes.
I dont recommend rewuesting exact room numbers,  you have abetter chance of getting what you want by calling concierge directly, tell them you want connecting rooms with daybeds, and please could you have rooms on the  "lake side" of the resort.
no problem asking for this, as they are still std view, but with a much better view on the lake side!!!

call concierge, that is your best bet!

P.A.,

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll do that.

Next request from my mother-in-law:  Does the concierge lounge have sodas in cans or do they come out of the machines?  She's under the impression the sodas out of machines "disagree" with her. :barf:

She might have something there -- years ago when I took a tour of a Coca-Cola bottling plant they told us that they put more carbonation in one type of container compared to another (I think it was more carbonation in the plastic bottles?) because it tended to leach out through the plastic more.

Now, I might not be remembering this correctly as it was long, long ago -- or they might have done that ages ago but not any more.

Rich,

My mother-in-law claims it is the water they add to the machine sodas.  She says often it is "softened" water, which is softened with salt.  I have no idea..........sometimes she has some strange ideas.........I guess it could be bad for salt-sensitive people if it is true.

I do like those bubbles, and there do seem to be more of them in soda from bottles/cans.  Who knows. :uhoh:

the soda is in cans, you'll find it in the cabinet in the lounge!  :)

Princess Angel,

Can you please tell me what we can expect from the BC concierge lounge as far as size, tables, decor, etc?

How many people can sit in there at the same time?  What's the view like?

Any description would be appreciated!

most of the tablea are small, 2 - 4 people can sit at each.   I supose it about 25 or so ( I am totallyguessing here) an sit in the louinge at once.
The decor is nice, beachy casual... very pretty, nothing spectacular, just soothing to he eye! :)
there are lots of little table, and a children area with tiny tables and chairs & a TV.
the view is...nothin, just an interior courtyard, no bid deal, not like it is of the lake or anything.
basically the lounge is a very pretty, relaxing place, you'll love it! :) :)
