Laura / princess angel brought up a great question, which I'm turning into a poll for readers of the Yacht & Beach Club forum:
Just curious to hear which you prefer the theming of, the Yacht or Beach Club ???
Please participate by voting for one or the other and then reply here with your opinions after voting in the poll above.
Registered Disney EchoEars (and not Guests) may vote once in this poll. After voting you will be shown the current vote totals. Note: If you click the button that says...
'View Results (Null Vote)'
...to view the totals before voting, you will not be able to vote later (because seeing the current voting patterns would have an influence on the outcome of the poll). You may only vote once.

I prefer the Beach Club's casual atmosphere and find the Yacht Club a bit too formal for me.

Too much pastel color for me at the BC. I like the YC better and I like the YC rooms with the full balcony in all the rooms. No getting stuck with the small balcony of many of the BC rooms.

I prefer teh Ycht Club, the theming, and overall atmosphere are just my style!
I also like that all the rooms have a full balcony, that is one of the many reasons why we always stay at deluxe resorts, balconies are wonderful!
Since the Beach Club rooms have been renovated I do like them a lot, much better than before, but I still very much so prefer the Yacht Club !
yay, 16 days til my next stay at the Yacht Club!!!

We stayed at the Beach Club 2 yrs. ago. I'm glad to hear the rooms were renovated!! We were lucky to get a full balcony! We are thinking of staying there next, year possibly on the concierge floor!!

We stayed at the BC in May of 2002. What have they done to the rooms since then? I have read a few things regarding lamps, etc. and I thought, "I don't remember that..." I guess this could be why!

The decor used to be all seafoam green and pink... now it is yellows, green and blues, a much more soothing combination to the eye!
There are new carpets, breadspreads (yellow with Mickey scenes on them!!! new curtains, new furniture! all the furniture is new except for the headboards. The furniture is white with wood tops, and the daybeds / chairs have the nicest beachy themed upholstery.
The lamps in the rooms are Mickey sitting in a lifeguard chair type... very cute!

Yoo Hoo, Laura!
Yes, here's how the Beach Club Resort rooms used to look like:
Note: That is direct from disneyworld.com in their Beach Club Resort photo gallery. They need to update that picture to show the new look which you've described!
Here's a photo from their site of a room in the Yacht Club Resort. Did your Beach Club Resort room look something like this?

Rich, those pictures are OLD !!!!
not old like last year before renovations, but older than that! They YC rooms had dark blue with deep red roses on the bedspreads, prior to refurbishment, not pink at all.
and the BC was a lot of rooms with seafoam green walls and pink accents .
Disney needs to double their efforts to update their pics!!!!
I saw your other post about the lamp and the pics... I will work on trying to get them up soon, along with some new Y&B Club photos!

I haven't stayed there... but I have lurked around... (Ok, I like to check out the lobbies and wander around resorts I haven't been able to afford...yet that is! I still have many deluxe resort dreams! ) But I have always liked the little less informalness of the BC.... the outside grounds of both are amazing!
