We are headed for WDW December 13-23.  Of course we will be staying in the best campground in the universe: Fort Wilderness.

This will be our first trip to FtW this close to Christmas and wonder what to expect. Are there decorations?  Do people decorate their campsites?  Does FtW have any special Christmas events? :santa:

Decorations,  yes yes,  some people go all out in decorating their site and the surrounding area,  there is usually a big display in the 300 loop as well as the 200 loop from some regulars,  its a nice time of year to go to the Fort - (Actually any time is a good time come to think of it  :mickey:  :mickey: )

Fort Wilderness puts up decorations that I think are very well matched to the resort decor...very natural and "wilderness" looking.  There's a tree outside Trails End / Crockett's Tavern...there is garland on the Trading Posts.  In addition to the Disney-provided decorations, many Fort Wilderness guests decorate their campsites and campers.   :clapping:

Hi, I see you will be there the same time we are.  Dec. 13th to the 26th.  We asked for 1500 loop.  Definately can't wait.  We have a box already with Christmas decorations to put on our trailer. :santa:  Less than 60 days.  Have a great vacation.

When do they start to decorate (Disney itself)? We're going the week after Thanksgiving next year. Will it be decorated?

Disney starts its decorating immediately after Thanksgiving with most decorations being up within a week.

Plus we managed to get ressies at the Candlelight processional at Epcot on Christmas day.
