We used to go there just to ride that old train. Got very upset when I found it rusting out behind DC-6.

What's DC-6?

DC-6 is one of the facility buildings on the "back lot". It's near where the ball diamonds are, just east of Bonnet Creek golf. All the FW trains were stored there for years. Four engines, I think twenty passenger cars and one switcher engine. I think there was a stack of track too. I'm sure we weren't supposed to be there but.....

It sure brought back memories when we saw those trains.

I asked my son (age 13) what he would change and he gave me what IMHO is the best answer yet.  He said he would move it closer to home so we could go more often. :clapping:

I would go every weekend and every vacation if it was that close!

I just got back from FW last week. I would change the sign out front and let Mickey have his gun back. :TiggerWooHoo:

I agree! Think of it as "Wilderness Homeland Security!"

As long as we're dreaming, I would upgrade all campsites to include both cable and phone hookups.  I was really spoiled by having cable in a preferred loop last year.  It really came in handy having the Weather Channel with all the torrential rain we had during our trip.  I think people would still pay extra to stay in the preferred loops because of their proximity to the marina and Settlement area.

Thats a great idea Jan

Maybe put cable in all the loops and put phone hookups in the preferred loops.

Our motorhome TV antenna picked up some of the local channels  but nothing beats having the weather channel for knowing what to expect.

Distribution Center,  where they store all the merchandise,  food etc.

I'd like to see them bring the "magic" back to the bike barn operations,  those cast members have definetely lost it in my opinion,  the service provided at the bike barn has gone down hill drastically in the last 3 years,  they have new electric carts and its easier to rent a 50000.00 cadilac from national car rental that one of these carts,

Just getting back from the campground last sunday I would probably say the change in the swimming pool. It was very nice to have it open 24 hours a day though. Being in a campground it would be nice to have some type of theme with slides and maybe a playground type of atmoshere. Even though we did not use the pool everyday the three times we did it would have been nice to have some sort of area for the kids to occupy there time while Mom and Dad set under a palm tree and sip our favorite beverage. That would have been another suggestion is having a food cart at the pool. It is not that far of a walk to the trading post but after walking in the park for days on end even a 400 yard walk seems a long way.

I agree that it is less hassle to rent a car at the Airport than a cart at FW, Its also much cheaper. I am glad to see some more control of the rowdies in the carts, not only is it dangerous it is tough on the carts.
I realy liked the ideas tossed around before about connecting FW and Wilderness lodge and creating a type of frontier town.
The possibilities are endless !
