I need your help again. I have made my reservations for a preferred site in October. My question is how do I reserve a specific loop and also site? They did not ask me for any information on my wished. Do I need to call back or wait until closer to the time we leave? Are there any other questions that I should ask them when I call back?

you could call and have your loop or site request added to the reservation,  most likely they asked you if your rig had slideouts or an awning and the length of your camper.  you could also call or fax your site request a fews days before your arrival,  keep in mind that requests are not guaranteed,  they do try hard to honor all requests though.

We've always had pretty good luck with loop requests.  I have never tried a site request, but I would imagine that might be a little bit more difficult.  Like stated previously, contact them by phone first and have your request added, then fax the reminder a few days before.  Also be sure to mention it at check in.

What I did this past Dec., was after I made the ressie (a preferred loops), I checked out my last copy of the FW map.  When I figureed out which loop I wanted, I called immediately (I think it was something like 9 months before we would arrived! :) ).  The end of the week before we would arrive (we checked in Sat, this was that Thursday), I called the front desk of FW directly to make sure my loop request was listed on my reservation.  When we checked in, my loop request was granted!  :hearts:

I have followed the advice on the board and have requested a loop which shows on our reservations. Thumper suggests calling FtW a few days before to make another request for the actual site. Even though there are never any absolute gurantees, as we get closer to Dec 13th, I want to make sure I did all I could to get the site we want.

I have read somewhere else that its better to FAX a request directly to FtW (or any resort for that matter) to the attention of the room assigner.  The idea behind it is that sites/rooms are batch assigned 2 or 3 days before arrival and if the FAX comes around the same time as the batch list comes from CRO.  I wish I could find that article or post again.   :uhoh:

Anyway does anyone have any knowledge of this?  Anyone have the FtW phone number and FAX number? I think I will do both...FAX and then follow up with a phone call.

Here's a link to faxing room requests information and a form letter.

http://wdwig.com/cro1.htm

We've requested Loop 100 or 200 in our reservations,  but don't know of a particular site that would be specifically better in either loop (last year we could not open our awning in the 300 loop).

Here's some pixie dust for luck with your request.
