I have a child that definately needs to burn off energy several times a day.  Is Tom Sawyer Island under 6 friendly? My DD is 6, DS is 3. Is there any chance they could fall into the water or get lost?  Do you need to stay right on top of them while there?  I was there briefly about 11 years ago with older children and don't remember the layout.  I would never leave them completely unattended but prefer to not have to run along behond them either.  If I remember correctly I think I was worried last time about someone abducting a child and never seeing it there.  Okay, so I'm paranoid.  Thanks All!

Don't worry about being paranoid - I have a 2 year old, and I keep touch with everything he does now too - especially in this day in age.
Could they fall in the water - yes, but I think your chances are very slim if you make sure to keep an eye on them. The same goes for the abduction thing. Tom Sawyer Island is a very active place, with lots of children running around, as it is a popular place for kids. I think what I am trying to say basically as long as you follow the same precautions there as you do anywhere else in the park you should be okay.
If you decide to go, and it is open, drop by Aunt Polly's - the view is wonderful!  :coonskin:
