Thanks in advance all the Disney regulars who answer the endless questions of those of us who haven't been in a LONG time!

Do they have separate lines for the resort guests at the monorail station?  I am asking because at Disneyland last year there was a shorter/separate line for the Disney resort guests--I didn't know if this was because at Disneyland more people tend to just "ride" the monorail.

Thanks!!

There is an express monorail that goes back and forth from MK to the TTC.  I don't believe it has separate lines for resort guests.  There is also a Resort monorail that stops at the Contemporary, Polynesian, Grand Floridian, and MK, but anyone can ride on it, because they might have PS at those resorts or just want to see them.  Then there is the monorail that goes from the TTC to Epcot.  I don't recall ever seeing a separate line for resort guests on any of the monorails, but it's been six years since I was there, so I probably shouldn't have jumped in on this question at all!

I have seen CM's at the Magic Kingdom monorail station during crowded times directing Guests to which monorail they are supposed to take. They would be pointing you to the express monorail to the TTC but allowing resort guests (and others I suppose who expressed an interest in the resorts, such as for a PS) to head to the resort (local) monorail instead.

At Disneyland there's only the one monorail, so that's why they put in a separate line for the resort guests. At the Magic Kingdom, they try to control things sometimes when it is busy by encouraging only resort guests to use the local monorail.
:)
