Gosh, it's been a while since I've posted here!  Are you all interested in knowing what's happened over the past few months since I moved to FL?  If you are, keep reading....

It started in May- I headed down to FL within days of my college graduation, and that week, I went to a character audition.  To my surprise, they turned me down!  I find that very strange because I was chosen when I did the audition during my college program and had to turn it down.  I also went to the opencall singer audition.  They seemed impressed- even asked me to sing a bit of the national anthem because it was mentioned on my resume!  Unfortunately, I wasn't asked to return.

I ended up taking a seasonal role in attractions- they didn't have anything for fulltime at the time.  I was offered a chance to work in Adventureland/Liberty Square Attractions!  Although I hoped that meant Jungle Cruise, Pirates, or Haunted ended up meaning Aladdin, Tiki Room, Treehouse- how disappointing!  But I was still thrilled to have my CM status back after 2 yrs.

Now here's where things took a bizarre turn of events- about a month or so after I was hired, I was suspended!  It was because Disney had received a number of guest complaints about me because of a post about dumb guests that I had shared with a popular WDW message board!  And this was a few wks after I gave in to pressure from others on that board who told me to delete it because they thought Disney would fire me if they saw it!  Disney must not be used to situations like this because it's now a month later and they still haven't told me when I can return, and yes, I've tried calling many times...I want my job back!

At any rate, I went to Universal auditions the other day and was hired on the spot for their Halloween Horror Nights. :)  I've also been called back for a possible street character role.  I hope that I can still remain with Disney in at least some degree though.  It was strange filling out paperwork at Universal....felt like an enemy spy! hehe.  A lady noticed my Minnie Mouse watch.

Yea, AB, but the Universal positions means experience.  And, experience is gold to recruiters when they see that on a resume.

Good luck, one just never knows what life will bring you!  That's what makes it fun!

Yoo Hoo, Angie!

I, too, was just thinking about you recently and hoped you were doing well. Sorry to hear about the problems you had with a post of yours, but I'm at least relieved that something like that didn't happen to you because of something you wrote here on the Disney Echo.

I'll keep thinking good thoughts (and prayers) for you, so keep your Disney Dreams alive, Angie! And thanks for keeping us up to date with what's going on with you.

Dang!!  That is unbelievable!  (well, maybe not totally unbelievable)  Some people complained about posts to a message board?  How did it get traced back to you?

I know I am a newbie, but that just floored me when I read that.

I hope the Disney spies don't get me if I post any of my past CM experiences.   :o

I hope you are doing well with Universal though--Horror Nights seems like it would be a lot of fun.  But I totally understand your wanting to get back to WDW.

Good luck!
