Thanks to a suggestion from the Cast Member who took my reservation when I booked my latest trip -- I looked into the Rehitching Ceremony at the Garden Grill ( in EPCOT's The Land pavillion).

For those who don't know -- in the time frame between lunch and dinner at The Garden Grill there is an ice cream social.

For $6.99 you get seated in the revolving restaurant and are served an ice cream sundae that is as follows:

A sundae dish made out of a waffle cone with a Tollhouse cookie for the base all "glued" together with chocolate. A few generous scoops of real vanilla ice cream (the kind with the specks of vanilla bean in it). A big triangle of pure chocolate with Mickey and Minnie printed on it in gold is sticking out of the top scoop, along with one of those thin tube-like finger-cookies dipped in chocolate.

The whole thing is covered with rainbow sprinkles and drizzled with chocolate and -- if that isn't enough -- a couple of Gummie Worms sit on the plate beside it all.

As you try to eat this enormous treat you are greeted by a number of Characters -- on our particular day we hung out with Pluto, Chip, Dale, and of course Mickey himself.

Secretly, I had previously arranged for my wife and I to get "re-hitched". At one point during our visit we were called upon to stand up in front of all of the other restaurant patrons. Our "preacher" -- the hostess Maryann -- introduced us to the crowd and asked how long we'd been married.

She then asked me and my wife what we said to each other all those many years ago -- to which we replied "I do."

This being said -- she then re-pronounced us man and wife as we held a kiss while the "congregation" counted to 100.

(don't worry they counted 1 to 10, then by 10s to 100)

At the end of our snack we were presented with a certificate and a couple of souvenir plastic drinking cups.

The certificate reads: "To all them thar that reads this Mr. and Mrs ___ had one fancy, spiff'd up, go-to-town, re-hitch'n ceremonie at the Garden Grill"

It's signed by our best man (Mickey) maid of honour (Minnie) and of course Maryann our preacher.

It was a very cute afternoon and as my wife said: it was like a Disney wedding -- but a whole lot cheaper than the Wedding Pavillion. :dollar:
