Yoo Hoo, Disney EchoEars!

Jim Hill at JimHillMedia.com reports that he's heard talk that the Mouse is giving semi-serious thought to actually shutting down each of Walt Disney World's theme parks for one day each week...at least until the war with Iraq is over and/or tourist traffic patterns for the Orlando theme parks get back to normal.

 Perhaps this is because they feel that attendance is down so to increase attendance, close one park a day. That will make planning a little more difficult. This doesn't make me feel good considering that my family is less than 200 days away from WDW.

;) On the plus side this would give Disney one day a week to perform maintenance as needed and give attractions a little extra attention (similar to the early days of DL when it was closed two days a week).

So if I were to be the unlucky one to have just a couple of days to visit.  I'd have one more headache (figure which park is closed) .

They have already shorted down the hours and it doesn't look like they will extend them by THAT much when the season opens up again.....

Oh well......
