I've got a night off tonight and am trying to relax as I've been working a lot of overtime. So that's a good thing. And I've been sleeping a lot today so that's why I'm up at this ungodly hour of the morning. But I've just kinda got something on my mind and hope it's okay to share.

Anyone ever feel lonely for a Disney trip? I feel like that tonight. I can only afford to go so often and my next trip will hopefully be next year around May. Even that will only be a Disney cruise as I can't afford a land-sea package like I wanted. Don't get me wrong I'm happy to be taking a cruise. But I wish I didn't have to wait that long.
:dollar:

I'm hoping I'll be lucky and get a nice tax return by that time so I can add to the trip and make it a land-sea package.

I was thinking today about how nice it would be to maybe meet a couple of people from here at WDW or something like that someday but that wouldn't be for another two years or so. I can only take trips a couple of years or so in between. But then I haven't talked to anyone here long enough yet to arrange serious meetings anyway so I guess it's just as well that I wait since I'd rather know people on here better first. Otherwise I'd feel too uncomfortable.

Just lonely for a Disney trip I guess, bored and restless. I'm trying to relax with my Disney books and videos and stuff. And going to lots of local places here to stay busy. But it's only so much, I'm too restless for my next Disney trip, it's driving me up the wall.

Anyone else ever feel like this?

I feel like that too sometimes!

Don't know if you've tried this - but I joined MyPoints because I do a lot of shopping on-line.  Anyhow, you can earn points that you can trade in for webcertificates (just like a Mastercard).  So far this year I've earned $160 - and all I've done is my regular on-line shopping.  Every little bit helps right?

As far as meeting some people here.....that would be fantastic!  Meet-n-Greets at the Aloha Isle (dole whip stand).  YUMMY!  When it gets closer to your cruise, you should post here to see if anyone else will be going at the same time.

I hope you feel better!!

Here's another way to get together (even near you, as well as at Disney parks) with people who like Disney as much as we all do. Go to www.nffc.org and check for where the closest NFFC chapter is near you. Then find out when their next meeting is and check it out!

I'm an NFFC member in New Orleans and it's a great group of people. You can meet new Disney friends that way who also love to chat about Disney theme parks and other stuff!

What is MyPoints? I haven't heard of that one. But I do buy quite a bit online, can you please explain? Maybe it will help.  ;)

Rich I want to thank you and everybody here for all your encouragement. I appreciate it very much. You all here have really helped making me feel comfortable on disneyecho.

check out www.mypoints.com  That should give you some explaination.

Anyhooo....if you shop through their links, you generally earn 2points per dollar spent.  They also have links in emails that they send worth 5 points.  There's also deals - like you can purchase any amount from Tupperware.com and you get 800 points.

If you want to sign up, PM me with your email address.  I'll refer you (and I'll get points for the referal :) )

Just so you know, I set up a separate email account just for this because of the email sent.  But like I said, if you click on a link in the emails sent, you earn 5 points.

Hmmmm, let me go check that out. Thanks!

Here's an idea. Say I were to make a deposit for a Cruise package and in the future got quite a bit in points from that mypoint.com thing. Would Disney allow me to use the points to upgrade my package online or something?

As long as you cash in your points for a webcertificate.  A webcertificate is a MasterCard.  When you sign up with webcertificate and make your first "deposit", you'll be assigned a CC#.

You can also receive a plastic card for around $6.

Check out www.webcertificate.com

:minnie: Hey Chris, Once upon a time I had lost my job, went bankrupt :Oo: and lost my car.  That was in 1993.  I had been to The World about 9 times before since 1983 and knew it was my favorite place.  It was a loooonnnggg 7 more years before I was able to go again on a two week honeymoon :hearts: I did what you did in the mean time without a computer.  Kept up with all the free Disney material that is out there.  Things do get better and as long as I can I will go to Disney every year with or without DLDH [doen't like Disney husband} Tho I do get him to take me every other year.  And now we have friends on-line
                See Ya,
                Disneyn :minnie:
