I have been reading a few boards in the past couple of days and I keep seeing posts about disappointments with Concierge service.  This concerns me but it appears that there might be some preventative measures I can take so I thought I would ask all of you for help.  I have read all the great things that Tikiman has said and have friends who stayed there and loved it.  I haven't been to the poly since I was very young.

We are doing concierge service at the poly for some pampering for our honeymoon.  I want them to make the PS's for us etc. From talking to a couple of people they do an amazing job.

The problem - The disappointments I see are all relate to ONE CM.  Every complaint I have read has mentioned this particular CM by name and the fact that ALL or MOST of their tickets, PS's etc either didn't exist or were totally wrong.  But that the CM was very pleasant.

I know I shouldn't worry about this but since it is our honeymoon we want everything to go smoothly.  Can someone tell me is there only one CM who does the planning?  Can I request to work with someone in particular or do you get assigned - IF and when they contact us if it is that particular CM can I ask for some one else?

Can anyone help me?

Hi Christine,

I just got back from my Poly Concierge trip in October.   Here's a link to my final trip report which includes a summary of my "concierge experience".

Greg's last trip report

If I messed up the link it's currently on Page 2 of this board.

To directly answer the question you asked.  We worked with numerous people in the concierge "Island Planning Office" and they were all great.  You do not get assigned one specific person.  It's basically whoever answers the phone or responds to your email on that day is the one who helps you out.  If you call or email on a different day a different CM will take care of you.

If you ever have any doubts something was done properly give them a call back or send them an email and double check.  They were all more than patient with me and I'm a "worry wart" by nature ;) !

...IF and when they contact us...

I'd be proactive about this and call them or email them first.  I called them before they called me and they were more than pleasant with me.

Happy planning and don't forget to tell them you're celebrating your honeymoon  :hearts:  I'm sure they'll do something special for you  :bowling: !

Greg

I asked them to send me an itinerary of my PS's.  (It was a good thing because a few were made for Jan 2003 not 2004).  I feel better seeing it in writing complete with confirmation numbers.
