Thank you Steve for all the helpful information on your site!!  i have to say when Tikiman  tries to put in perspective how relatively close everything really is at the resort, he is telling the truth!!  Nothing is really too far away , I was imagining the buildings being REALLY spread out , but they are all pretty easily accessed!!  Samoa was my request, and they were good enough to put us there!  We were on the Volcano pool side , on the third floor.  the floor was great, i would ask for the other side of the building or for tokelau next time , as the pool noise went on until about 11 pm everynight!! Although it was really convenient to get up to the room  after a swim!! The Somoa building didn't really seem to be revamped to me, but we really enjoyed it all the same!  What impressed me the most was the grounds , they have done a great job recreating the tropics, and the laid back quality one feels there!  Ohana's was great , we ate there 3 times, kona Cafe was really good too.  The wait staff at both places were lovely and went out of their way to supply food for my daughter , carrot sticks and tomatos, etc. I did not like Captain Cook's for meals, but there are soo many options anyway, because it is so easy to take the monorail to the Grand Floridian and Contemperary. It is a wonderful place to relax and be away from the parks. Thanks again tikiman for all your help!!

Aloha and welcome home. I am glad you enjoyed your visit. I have a tough time getting people to believe that the Polynesian is not very spread out. I don’t know if you have ever been to Coronado Springs but I have seen an aerial map and the place is soooo spread out. There are some rooms that you would need a bus to get to the lobby. Well now you know what I mean about Samoa being a little busy. Not that it is bad for everyone. Some people like being close to the action and not in a secluded room. I think Tokelau is a great choice for your next trip. It gets quieter as you move toward the TTC.

Glad I could help and glad you enjoyed your trip.

Aloha

Steve
