+---Topic: Third Theme Park for Disneyland Resort? started by OreoLee

I was just browing through the Disney College Program looking for internships and stuff when I came upon this page:

At the very bottom it talks about a third theme park in the plannings with a link to a website. I was just wondering if anyone had information to clear this up.

From what I hear, there is a piece of property Disney owns out there that's currently being used as a strawberry field. I've heard whispers that Disney might make the third theme park a water park, but don't quote me on that since it's only a rumor and I don't like to believe anything unless it's confirmed. But Disney definitely does have property to build another park on. That's the one disadvantage Disney has in Anaheim, they can't add on at will the way they can at WDW. But I'm sure they could build a monorail system to connect a third park to everything else.
My travel agent once used to live in Anaheim and she tells me it's a strange situation out there in Anaheim. On the one hand, the locals want to see Disneyland expanded with more parks and such. But on the other, if Disney talks about expansion people (apparently from what I was told) complain about the possibilities of Disney buying out mom and pop businesses to build one and the possible problems of more people arriving there. I'm told it's a catch 22. It's too bad Walt didn't get his hands on more property around Disneyland before it was too late.

AHHHH ok well that clears that up, cause i was totally caught off guard because I thought that the property they owned were already used for Disneyland and DCA. Thanks for the info.

No problem OreoLee. Just remember to take it with a grain of salt, as I'm only repeating stuff I've been told. I'm no expert on the subject, unfortunately. But I do know for a fact that they own a strawberry park out there as I read it in a Disney book somewhere
